How Will Jehovah’s Witnesses Know When to Leave the WT? By Robert King On August 1, 2014 · 15 Comments · In Mailbag QUESTION: How will Jehovah’s people know when it is time to abandon the Watchtower and how will God let them know? God gave convincing proofs to help ancient Israel to make the switch to the new Israel. _____________ ANSWER: First, the “switch to the new Israel†was not as smooth and easy as we might imagine. Many of the Jews who accepted Christ found it very difficult to completely cut ties with Judaism. Some of them still clung to circumcision and even tried to impose it upon Gentile converts. Others observed the Hebrew Sabbath and festivals.You likely know that Paul devoted a good portion of his letters to the Romans, Galatians and the Hebrews trying to reason with them on these issues. But it was more than merely academic. For the Jews living in Jerusalem and Judah their faith would eventually be put to the test when the disgusting thing stood in the holy place. They would then have to make a life and death decision. Would they leave behind their homes, businesses, perhaps families, and certainly the temple, and flee into the wilderness? If not they were sure to be swept up in the net when the Destroyer returned. Apparently even the surviving apostles, along with the older men of the Jerusalem congregations, would have to take action and abandon Jerusalem in obedience to Christ’s command. Their faith was tested. It is worth noting that when the Roman legions returned to Jerusalem in 70 C.E., they came on the Passover. Jerusalem was crammed with worshippers, no doubt some Christians were among them. And then they were trapped with no escape. Of course, the end of Jerusalem only impacted a small percentage of Christians back then. But as we know, Jesus’ words primarily apply to those living during the conclusion of the system of things and the desolation of the holy place will be during a time of tribulation unlike anything that has ever afflicted the world, or ever will again. And it will come in upon all those living upon the entire inhabited earth. How will Jehovah’s Witnesses know when it is time to abandon the Watchtower? Well, the precursory signal will be when nations and kingdoms go to war; accompanied with food shortages, pandemics and great earthquakes. So, Jehovah’s Witnesses will be required to exercise their faith. The stage is set for these events to erupt on a global scale. When these things start to occur those who are willing to accept the truth will realize they have been victimized by an artfully contrived hoax, perpetrated by the Watchtower. As the world is gripped in chaos and terror, in some unforeseeable way the leaders of the Society will compromise with the beast in a vain effort to save the organization. That is the point at which the disgusting thing will appear and the apostasy exposed. Although discredited Jehovah’s earthly mouthpiece will continue to speak, albeit as a misleading voice, like the voice of an uncanny spirit medium croaking from beyond the grave. In harmony with what Christ foretold regarding Jerusalem being surrounded with a fence or a palisade of pointed stakes, Isaiah 29:3-4 states: “I will encamp on all sides against you, and I will besiege you with a palisade and raise up siegeworks against you. You will be brought low; from the ground you will speak, and what you say will be muffled by dust. Your voice will come from the ground like the voice of a spirit medium, and your words will chirp from the dust.†In the midst of confusion the final sealing of the anointed will occur. The wheat will at last be separated from the weeds, at which point the chosen ones will shine as brightly as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. This will be the revealing of the sons of God and it will occur outside the auspices of the Watchtower Society. Jehovah’s holy spirit will be poured out in full measure upon all of the approved, while the condemned will go down with the Watchtower, weeping and gnashing their teeth. While Society loyalists will hate, betray and hand over their former brothers to be killed, the chosen will stand before the world, like Christ before Pilate, and give God’s final witness. Ezekiel 34:23 “And I will raise up over them one shepherd, and he must feed them, even my shepherd David. He himself will feed them and he himself will become their shepherd.
With all do respect to my brother Robert who is a very important Allie in the faith, he misunderstands Dan 12:11. There is a time period of 1290 days between the constant feature being removed and the disgusting thing being placed. Math 24:15,16; “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment), then let those in Ju·de′a begin fleeing to the mountains." This will be 1290 days after the Watchtower was closed up, sold, locked doors and no longer exists. See, in 66CE Eliezar ben Hanania, a temple clerk, stopped the sacrifices for the Romans and Emperor at the temple when the city was surrounded. That equals the Watchtower magazine that proclaims Jehovah's kingdom to the world no longer being produced. Once that magazine is no longer produced and the WTS goes down, true Christians will be considered in captivity to Babylon, however this is not what is referred to when said to flee. Now after the 1260 days/42 months end, Jesus is enthroned and Holy Spirit is poured out. 30 days after that end the 1290 days and will be the moment the wild beast turns on Jesus brothers to physically kill them. That equals the moment in 70CE that Rome entered the temple. It is at that time true Christians are directed to flee to the mountains, and this is only 45 days before the first day of the new world. This is a command to actually physically flee, because Armageddon is about to start. So you see brother, there will be no mystery, Jehovah has given us all the information needed in the time of the end in order to understand what is to come.
Hey there J.Stone. Thank you so much for the additional insite. But I cant even pretend that I understood all those numbers you posted. I truely am sorry brother, Im just not on that level. But one thing that I take away from all this is....We're so close. PRAISE JEHOVAH, were so close. And to be honest, brother, J...Im so tired. I agree with you that....no matter what the prophetic numbers add up to, the fact is, no one will be left confused. I just want to continue to do the best as I can to serve God. And whatever is the meaning behind the prophetic numbers, I pray that God will have mercy on those who dont have the mental intellect to comprehend what adds up to what, and that he will take their hand, as one would the hand of a child and lead them the way. Because if my salvation depends on my understanding all those numbers you and watchmen throw back and forth like a deck of playing cards, I have no hope at all.
At the beginning of Jesus’ prophesy, He said, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ [anointed],’ and they will lead many astray.†(Mt 24:4-5 ESV) This is very important because Jesus repeated it. “And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.†(Mt 24:11 ESV) Here are a few questions that need to be answered. What biblical proof is there that the WTB&TS is the true “Israel of God� (Gal 6:16; Heb 8:12) What biblical proof is there that identifies what “the abomination of desolation†is? That term literally means “a foul thing, a detestable thing†that causes “to make desolate, lay waste to ruin, bring to desolation.†Where is this place to flee to? “let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.†(Mt 24:16) Are the “mountains†literal or metaphors/symbolic? Who are “those in Judea� And what does Judea represent, if not the land of Judea? Is the Judea spoken of representative of the WTB&TS? And are those associated with it, representative of those who must flee from it? (Again, Biblical proof!) Will it be a mass migration out of her? Or, as now, a few here and there? I fled many years ago.
Yes brother you are correct, Jehovah will give us everything we need ahead of time. In fact those of us here will be ecstatic and joyful when all of this starts to come about, because we will have been waiting for it and will see the signs coming. It should also be comforting to know that the next thing we seen wont be wars. I know some like our brother Robert think this is the next event to occur in the stream of time, but I believe that this not the case. In fact all we are looking for next is the MOL to be revealed. A news report of illegal activity by the Governing Body, and that will kick off the time of the end. Wars wont come until right before the end, and we'll know exactly when that will be ahead of time, is that not comforting?

"Something that ruins, lay waste",...indeed something offensive in the extreme. That wont be easy to ignore. *Where is this place to flee to? “let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.†(Mt 24:16) Isaiah 2:1,2- "And it must occur in the final part of the days that the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly established above the top of the mountains, and it will certainly be lifted up above the hills; and to it all the nations must stream.â€â€”Isaiah 2:1, 2. JEHOVAH, Is the mountain that we must flee to. now perhaps Im being a little too simplistic but "JEHOVAH & JESUS"= Mountain(s) Plural. *Will it be a mass migration out of her? Or, as now, a few here and there? I fled many years ago If something is causing desolation, ruin, laying waste, and is offensive in the extreme...Im willing to guess that it will cause a mass exodus.
Im sure as these events unfold with more clarity, you and your anointed brothers will begin to see the same picture as to how the remaining prophecies will unfold. Especially when Christ revels himself to the chosen who will at that time begin to shine brighter than the sun. (or something like that)

Biblical proof: I don't mean to be petty in this response, but JWs worship the God of the Bible and follow his lamb wherever he goes, there is no other group that meets this requirement (Spiritual Israel must worship Jehovah as God, rather than Jesus; in my opinion the 'churches' are akin to Ammon or Edom, close enough to the Hebrews to worship a form of Jehovah, but mixed with paganism enough to make it false) Like the State of Israel necessarily existing during the time of the end (Zechariah 12), a group who call on the name of Jehovah, pray through Jesus (not to) and dedicate themselves to announcing his kingdom must exist during the time of the end. That group also MUST be operating under a delusional prophetic framework. (2 Thess 2, Eze 13, Joel 1, Isaiah 29) 100% proof? No. But I know the fruits and the love amongst them, so I'm convinced. What other group calls on Jehovah, accurately understand his Christ, operate under a delusional prophetic influence regarding the parousia, and ALSO proclaim the kingdom publicly? (perhaps another emerges ... but somehow I doubt it, WW2 is a preview of what is heading towards JWs on a grand scale) 2. Taking insight from the original fulfillments, a foreign leader will hate Jehovah's people and attempt to nullify their worship in some fashion 3. Either a literal reference to Judea, or a spiritual reference to the temple courtyard of the Christian church. 4. Either literal mountains outside of Judea, or hiding inside the nation-state system discreetly (the earth swallows up the water disgorged by Satan) 5. Perhaps Judea is the WTBS 6. We aren't to flee until the disgusting thing from a foreign power is setup within the temple, so a mass migration, yes.
I'm keeping careful watch on those windowless Alamo forts and when I see groups of animals clustering around the hall I will know that it will rain fire soon!
Thank you Gabriel for a great post, we are truly living in exciting yet fearful times, I find it hard to fathom the exposure of the Watchtower and it's magazine not being in print, it's 100 years this year that they have been celebrating Christ's reign. It will be a sad time because many will be stumbled, we are blessed to be able to see the truth from various angles instead of relying whole heartedly on the Watchtower as the majority do. No matter what is spoken of by Robert or any other anointed, Jehovah will reveal all at the appointed time, which I feel isn't too far away and if we keep on the watch for the signs which are unfolding we will not be misled.
^ I mean the above as a statement of logically deduced fact, not judgment against other Christians, which I want NOTHING to do with! They (other Christians) know Jehovah, because they know Jesus, and are individuals before the throne like we all are. They are my brothers and sisters, but the current state of affairs has created a rift, that only rears its head when the Bible comes up But Jehovah's use of weak and despised things to conquer the things that are, is another matter, as are doctrinal statements of truth. I've been to literally dozens of churches, and spent 6 years going between a non-denominational and evangelical free, and there is just no comparison. Both in knowledge and faith, JWs demonstrate an adherence to the God of the Bible in a similar way to ancient Israel - a "people for his name", that seem oddly incapable of actually understanding the deeper spiritual implications en masse. Combine that with the attributes of drunken leaders operating under a delusional false parousia as a marker of 'spiritual Israel', and I think we've got a winner.
Singlecell you are right, sadly my daughter now attends church mainly to get her daughter into church school. Ask her what she has learnt, absoloutly nothing, are they concerned whether she lives with her partner or not? not at all, as long as the seats are full and collection box go's round that's what keeps them happy. Yes there are the odd ones which have copied the witnesses old revelation book, and talk about end times, but they really haven't a clue about the kingdom message and preaching world wide. I listened to a talk by a doctor, he attended a practitioners seminar back in 1959. He said the talk was about population control, and one of the topics was about religion. He said the lecturer stated that religion would become one entity, and Christianity as we know it will be done away with. And he said it will be easy because the head of all the churches will agree with the change and the catholic church will initiate it. He said they wanted to accomplish this within 30-40 years which is now. The world council of churches is one entity and they all have one agenda. It all ties in with what the scriptures say, "that it will not come unless the apostasy comes first" and this is what we are seeing unfolding before our very eyes.
In time Jehovah will reveal all things according to his will, and to be honest those of us here are pretty lucky, there will be many of our B&S lost and confused... We do have a pretty good group of friends here to associate with.
Hi All, I wasn’t being facetious in asking these questions. They are the kinds of questions used to trap you. They are used by those outside the truth who wish to affect you faith. It was done with the idea of making you think about what is being taught by all of those claiming to have understanding of the scriptures. There are those who claim to be “spirit†led, and others who just think they know the truth. Satan is very clever and devious at misleading those who wish to do right. He especially targets those who are desiring to worship Jehovah God and His Son Jesus Christ in spirit and truth. Satan is the god of confusion and his methods have never changed from the beginning. I.E. #1 “Now the serpent was the most cautious of all the wild animals of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it said to the woman: “Did God really say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?†(Ge 3:1 NWT) Here we go. Satan misquoted the command. What did Jehovah say? “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.†(Ge 2:16-17 NWT) I.E. #2, 3, 4 (Luke 4:3-13) Finally with #4, “If you are a son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written, ‘He will give his angels a command concerning you, to preserve you,’ and, ‘They will carry you on their hands, so that you may not strike your foot against a stone.’†(Lu 4:9-11 NWT) In every case here, Jesus applied the true meaning of scriptures that Satan twisted. Satan know the scriptures better than any of us. That is how he twists the meaning of them so well. His followers, knowingly or unknowingly, do like wise. You will also notice that Satan didn’t give up there. “So the Devil, having finished all the temptation, departed from him until another convenient time.†(Lu 4:13 NWT) How many of you know anything about hunting, especially trapping? You don’t just go out and set some traps and hope something comes along and gets caught. You have to know the habits of the creature you intend to catch. What is it’s habitat? Where in that habitat does it live and nest? When is it active? What does it eat or what is it’s prey? You use that information, along with observing it in it’s natural domain. From this information, you can set your traps. Satan knows you better than you know yourself. He is a very clever trapper. “But pay attention to yourselves that your hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon you as a snare. For it will come upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole earth. Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication that you may succeed in escaping all these things that must occur and in standing before the Son of man.†(Lu 21:34-36 NWT)
Indeed Tsaphah, actually, if we aren't asking those questions we aren't doing our 'due diligence'. Deceptions, deceptions everywhere. Truly, only by reading God's word can we be wise in any real sense.
Hi All: There is so much that is going to happen very soon. The first thing that you will notice is that the 7th World Power over God’s people (Anglo/America) is going to be struck by a terrorist act or terrorist’s acts (they may be on the same day or a few days apart) as they are the feet of the image portrayed in Daniel 2. This will also be fulfillment of the “fires from heaven†that are spoken about in Revelation 13:11-13 (Notice that this is done by the two horned beast that appears to be a lamb but speaks like a dragon, so in essence the Anglo/Americans will instigate this attack on themselves as a pretext for War). Also, in Revelation 13:14 you will notice that Anglo/America uses this as part of a fear campaign to get the people to worship the image of the beast which will be the 8th World Power which will be a “mountain (singular)(government) that will fill the whole earth†Daniel 2:35. I know that all of you think that this is when the KOG destroys the 8th King at Armageddon but it is not (remember the 10 kings have not had a chance to rule with the 8th King yet) and that will be when the KOG will destroy the 8th beast after they have had a chance to rule with the 8th beast during the “last hour†Revelation 17:12. The Kingdom becomes “mountains†as Jesus helps you to see when he admonishes God’s people to flee from Judea to “the mountains†(governments, plural) There are plural mountains in the KOG as there is the KOG in the heavens (Mount Zion) and then the earthly administration of the KOG on earth (Mount Moriah). Jerusalem actually means “city of twofold peaceâ€. Judea symbolically makes up those members of both the heavenly and earthly KOG who are still here on earth. They have already been separated out by the angels and will be gathered by the angels (who are the reapers of the harvest in the last days Matthew 13:39) Those who are spiritually awake will see this as a sign from God, what the Bible calls the “Sign of the Son of Man†but I assure you most will not, they will just see it as more nonsense from mankind. Shortly after these “fire signs†from heaven will be the fulfillment of the vision written down in prophecy in Daniel chapter 10. The modern day Daniel in this prophecy are the remnant of Christ’s Bride which are still here on earth (many of whom are still in the Watchtower and don’t even know they are of that number yet) and some who are among those that have left the Watchtower over the years for various reasons ie. Disfellowshipping, Disassociation, or just drifted away but have not “defiled themselves†by joining a false church in the meantime Revelation 14:4. The Watchtower was the vessel for the gathering of the Bride of Christ in modern times and all of the Bride (including the remnant) will come from JW’s or ex JW’s who are undefiled. These like the Daniel in the time of Babylon will see a vision from God and they will learn what they need to know to move forward in God’s plan. Remember, these ones are Jesus Bride (at least they are his betrothed or fiance until they marry him in the heavens) so they are effectively his wife and since a wife is one flesh with their husband, they are effectively Jesus while here on earth as long as they are “sealedâ€. So, these ones will take this understanding they receive as the modern day Daniel of Daniel 10 and will preach it along with the Good News to Jehovah’s Witnesses and all others of “Judea†that are or will be “fleeing†from Judea. They will encourage one and other to “flee to the mountains†of Jehovah which will be the dual administration of the Kingdom of God, the Bride being with Jesus in heaven on “Mount Zion†and the rest on earth on “Mount Moriahâ€. Jerusalem means “mountain of two fold peaceâ€. So, these are the “mountains†that Jesus tells all in Judea to flee to when they see or “perceive†that "But when you see (perceive) the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains (this does not have to be when this actually occurs or occurred as people will perceive it at different times). Mark 13:14. If you are born again (but not a member of Christ's Bride) and are a part of the Judea of God you will be drawn to the vessel that will be replacing the Watchtower as it’s job (the Watchtower) of collecting Jesus’ Bride will now be complete and the next approved collecting vessel will collect the rest (storehouse). Once this is accomplished by the angels (remember, they are the reapers, they will also gather out the weeds) then the citizens of the KOG can now be collected as well. Hope this gives you some hope that this plan is taken care of, because it is and it is a done deal. Yes, you still have to listen to the angels when they call and to the voice of the remnant when you hear it or you could lose out on being a part of the KOG without ever having to die. Jehovah is a loving God and he does not wish for anyone to be destroyed and will also not allow unrepentant sinners mess up his Kingdom, but you can choose to lose out and have to die the second death even though you do not have to(which is not forever death) but will still not be a pleasant time for those being disciplined by it, as it does not have to happen if you just accept Jehovah and Jesus’ kindness now. I am mearly a simple man who studies the word of God diligently and tries to may sense of it the best I can. This is the next event to occur in time. All of these scriptures are the same event and are the next prophecies to be fulfilled. Dan 8:10 "It grew so great that it reached all the way to the army of the heavens, and it caused some of the army and some of the stars to fall to the earth, and it trampled them down." Dan 8:13 “How long will the vision of the constant feature and of the transgression causing desolation continue," Dan 8:23“And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion" Dan 11:30 “He will go back and hurl denunciations against the holy covenant and act effectively; and he will go back and will give attention to those leaving the holy covenant." 2Th 2:3 "Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction." Rev 8:5 “But right away the angel took the incense vessel, and he filled it with some of the fire of the altar and hurled it to the earth. And thunders occurred and voices and lightnings and an earthquake.†Rev 16:2 “And the first one went off and poured out his bowl into the earth. And a hurtful and malignant ulcer came to be upon the men that had the mark of the wild beast and that were worshiping its image.â€
Hi all, If one is still a part of the watchtower organization or some other form of worship. Watch out - for all who are in opposition to truth will not prevail. Dear brothers and sisters the time is now to separate from these ones who claim to have difine authority. I'm nobody important and I realize that all of this understanding does not originate with me.
