Thanks Panda for bringin' this up again ...I knew we had started a discussion when the video came
out ...didn't realize it took Robert this long to get to making a video . I have been exceptionally
busy with trying to settle some decisions on the home front and I have myself being very
indecisive about a few things lately ..maybe age is settling in ...
I did enjoy the video and was glad he pointed out the most glaring indicators of it's
propaganda (pro pagan dahh ....there are days I know I must be more broken than I think)
of whose really getting worshipped ...Robert is so able to clearly state the functioning
thinking that is being applied and threaded among the congregations ...

when I first saw that, I thought it was a coincidence that the road was already named, but they named it, it really is sickening how haughty how totally arrogant and delusional, I just couldn't believe it, surely brothers must see through this, I can't believe that the b/s are so blind, it is so obvious that things are not as they should be.

Hi must be something in the wind, don't know but I myself have been feeling so fed up with all this propaganda, and lies, I am finding it so very very difficult to continue to go to meetings, I literally feel ill, especially during most of the WT study articles of late.

Some things just take time before one really gets their head out of the sand, and quit making excuses for this religion, either its right or wrong, and this video really helped me to see that this GB is so in JW face without any sort of embarrassment at their wealth, the way they live, and their blatant hypocrisy, its like they are in competition with Christendom.

I enjoyed the video and yes, the part about the road's name is my favourite, too.

Why not choose something like "Paradise Court" or "Theocracy Drive," etc?

    Thanks for posting, Sister Panda.

I feel that ,and we haven't even got the numbers who can't/won't/leave to save what
little they have of deeply loved ones . I can't even possibly consider searching for
another group or Org as I have already been in so many that the numbers exceed the
common search for a "group home" (on the west coast here that term is used for those
who are mentally ill and are in a "residence" for those who cannot care for themselves.
In this case perhaps we have hit the "group home" already and the regulators of the other
home have become unnecessarily cruel ..(which happens in many group homes) This
of course is meant to be humor , but since non of us are trinitarian and find that doctrine
so reprehensible that even hearing it in an Christendom church sends us into "I feel that
chill of a passing spirit upon my hair" . There is only one place to go "for the Words of Life"
that is the Master himself who not only intercedes on your behalf but has fully demonstrated
the depth of love he has for "the children of men" .....

    Psalm 8

    1 O Jehovah our Lord, how majestic your name is throughout the earth;
You have set your splendor even higher than the heavens!
2 Out of the mouth of children and infants you have established strength
    On account of your adversaries,
To silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I see your heavens, the works of your fingers,
The moon and the stars that you have prepared,
4 What is mortal man that you keep him in mind,
And a son of man that you take care of him?
5 You made him a little lower than godlike ones,
And you crowned him with glory and splendor.
    6 You gave him dominion over the works of your hands;
You have put everything under his feet:

7 All the flocks and cattle,
As well as the wild animals,
8 The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,
Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
9 O Jehovah our Lord, how majestic your name is throughout the earth!

    Ephesians 1

15 That is why I also, since I have heard of the faith that you have in the Lord Jesus and the love that you demonstrate toward all the holy ones, 16 never stop giving thanks for you. I continue mentioning you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the accurate knowledge of him. 18 He has enlightened the eyes of your heart, so that you may know to what hope he called you, what glorious riches he holds as an inheritance for the holy ones, 19 and how surpassing the greatness of his power is toward us believers. It is according to the operation of the mightiness of his strength, 20 which he exercised toward Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named, not only in this system of things but also in that to come. 22 He also subjected all things under his feet and made him head over all things with regard to the congregation, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills up all things

you are sure to find your footing if you rely on the one who intercedes in your behalf
the Son of God as your High Priest and Caretaker ...and a grand caretaker he has
proved to be ...This place can be considered a hiding place under the "Wings of the
Most High" and I am sure all here will lift your needs in prayer to the "One and only"
True God and his Son Christ Jesus .

No way I would go to any other org or church whatever, I always think of the scripture, 1John 5:19 whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, that includes all religions, JW especially seeing that Satan would be at the helm trying to get the anointed, apostasy always starts from the top, and what better way than to have a GB ruling over their own brothers, with fear of any disagreement, to be caste out of the temple.

    Reminds me..

Matt 23: 1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and his disciples, saying, 2 'The scribes and Pharisees have put themselves in the seat of Moses. 3 So, do whatever they tell you to do… yes, do and pay attention! But don't do what they do, because they talk but they don't [practice what they preach]. 4 They put together heavy loads to lay on men's shoulders, which they aren't willing to live a finger [to carry]. 5 Why, everything they do is just done to be seen by men. For they broaden the [scripture-carrying] cases they wear and make the fringes [on their clothes] a bit longer; 6 they like the first place at meals and [to sit in] the front seats in the synagogues; 7 and they like to be greeted in the markets and to have people call them Rabbi. 8 But not you! Don't [have people] call you rabbi, for you have but one teacher, while you are all brothers. 9 So, don't address anyone on earth as Father, because there's just One who is your Father, the Heavenly One. 10 Nor should you be called leaders, for you have but one Leader, the Anointed One. 11 However, the greatest among you must be your servant… 12 whoever promotes himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be promoted.13 'Woe to you scribes and Pharisees – hypocrites – because you block out the Kingdom of the heavens before men… you don't enter it, and you don't allow others who are on their way to enter it! 14 —— 15 Woe to you scribes and Pharisees – hypocrites – because you travel land and sea to make a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of the garbage dump as yourselves.

1Cor 4: 8 So, are you already satisfied? Are you already rich? Have you started ruling without us? Why, I wish that you had started ruling, so we could also be ruling along with you! 9 For, I think that God has put us (the Apostles) last on the show as men who are condemned to death… we've become a theatrical spectacle in this world to both men and angels! 10 And while we are fools because of the Anointed One, you are wise in the Anointed One… we're weak, but you're strong… we're dishonorable, but you're the glorious ones.

    ________

but it is so very difficult to sit through meetings knowing what we do, and having to keep quite, I for one don't really want to be there anymore, but know that its a commandment not forsake the gathering, however one gets tossed about emotionally wanting to speak up, I guess this is the test we have to face, how can one worship God with spirit and truth, while going along and having to put up a false front, I hate it.

It is certainly a challenge to keep attending at the Hall. There is no freedom of speech in that environment either, so you can't freely express any thoughts, ideas or questions. I also notice that the reading and comprehension level of the literature has been reduced to the level of a 2nd or 3rd grader.

I often feel as if I have a "dual identity" and I have to mentally sift out the accurate information from the spiritual "junk food." It's like having 2 files in the brain - one for the accurate information and the other file for the rubbish.

These days I use the same mental approach at the Hall, that I use when listening at the conventions and assemblies. To give my brain something to concentrate on (I can't handle being bored) I analyse the material from a psychological angle. I take note of the logical fallacies, the false dilemmas, the making assumptions without providing scriptural proof, lifting scriptures out of context, examples of manipulation, examples of "gaslighting" (motivating people with fear and guilt.)

If I think a scripture has been mis-applied, I make a note of the correct explanation.

On other occasions, I use the time to catch up on Bible reading and checking cross-references.

On the days when I feel that I really can't be bothered with the material that's going to be discussed, I bring along information about car engines or aviation to read, so as to pass the time. ;)

Your not alone sister I do similar things except for the car engines and if I had a car that might be in the bag too..
This Sunday is about the four horseman, but there's no new light just the same recycled information. I came across some of the really old study books when clearing out, now these really kept you on your toes.

P.s I meant the book not the literal car in my bag lol :D

The advantages of having children , long bathroom breaks , and
a bolt for the door cause the children must be fed ..And being
oblivious to everything else because now there are no windows
to at least enjoy what God made and the children who are bored
beyond being able to sit still ...Yes I think teaching them about
God needs to be discussed in parks / mountain trails and the
different venues where His and the Masters works can be taken
in with a depth of appreciation difficult to ignore ..Oh like Jesus
    did .
    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I agree, and if that is not possible why not set a side a day especially for the children even if it's once a month, to teach them and show them through experience and beauty the creations of Jehovah, give them something to appreciate and aspire to. How often when I pray I picture a paradise where this is possible. But really should we have to think so far ahead when the facilities are within our reach.

oh how true should we be thinking so far ahead when we can find some nice elements of nature now?

why wait to appreciate what Jehovah has already made?
