This advertisement is a parody of Richard Kiel's ("Jaws") girlfriend in the James Bond movie "Moonraker." She has blonde hair and wears braces also. (I remember the first time I ever saw "Jaws" with his metal teeth. Very tall man on the large cinema screen - it scared the wits out of me!!!! I guess that was his job, eh?)
I like this pretty nature-themed commercial, sadly I couldn't find a more high quality one. oh and, I love emilie simon. (singer/songwriter)
This ad cracked me up! (Sorry, tried to copy the video but I couldn't - probably something I'm doing.....or not doing.)
I remember the one which you posted when it was on the TV here. It was great and funny ! lol Here is one that is very well made (IMO on technical grounds*) but that caused some kind of a turmoil in the months that followed back then in 1993.... You'll understand what I mean. That clip below is the real one. ---------------------------------------------------- Il a l'argent. He's got money. Il a le pouvoir. He's got power. Il a une Audi. He's got an Audi. Il aura la femme. He'll get the woman. Les hommes croient qu'une belle voiture sert à montrer l'épaisseur de leur portefeuille. The men believe that having a nice car is useful to show the size of their wallets. Mais elle sert aussi à montrer la beauté de leur âme. But it's also useful to show the beauty of their souls. Il a l'argent. He's got money. Il a le pouvoir. He's got power. Il a une Audi. He's got an Audi. Il a une âme. He's got a soul. Il aura... la femme. He'll get... the woman. Final catch phrase : Chance is nowhere to be found in an Audi ! ---------------------------------------------------- This ad would never have had a chance to be on public screens nowadays... No way ! It would never ever be broadcast nowadays... *beautiful car on the beautiful bridge in a beautiful eastern city, a car symbol of power, money; clip in black and white => timeless, like a fable, a dream (= subconscious feelings); there are kids, even twin girls (subliminal hints of fertility => father and manly figure, large family, security, protection of kids by the father, therefore of the family). She feels a danger just before the ball hits the windshield and feels reassured (maternal/motherly subconscious feelings milked here at full-throttle !!!!) and goes on reacting after the man acts as the loving hero protector that her subconscious leads her to look for => She feels reassured and protected on (god-like man) many grounds, then she loves the man. He's got power # 2 with a cross on the screen => religious power, like a God on earth (money, power, etc.) This ad clearly aims at the men through the women's subconscious primal feelings = protection, power, money. This ad is primarily destined to women.... to that which men want their wives to think about them. The men are the very receiving hand of that ad.... by proxy...
