I have been hearing news reports about the extreme weather in the U.S - from what I've seen on TV, it seems to be around the New York area. A news report today, said that the frozen rivers are supposed to be thawing out. Is there a risk of flooding in those affected areas, when this occurs?

 

I'm not sure about the flooding WF..

But I will tell you that -17F is truly painful to be in

Here's a picture of niagra falls in 1911 when it was even colder than the other day. Imagine that, even before the "climate change" era. Wonder what caused this amazing cold spell?
