    Hi Tsaphah,

The WT aren't the only ones to believe in the 7x7k scenario. It's not specific to them. This belief comes from the Jewish tradition.

    gods home.

well now since their does seem to be the 7000 year thing or the time I wrote.

guess what? now we can play another cool game since in order for genisis to be true and not a linguistic figurative.

Einstein's theory about time relatively has to be true therefore we can saftly theorize that the reason science says earth is 4.5 billion years old is due to the change in time because of galactic travel of god.

OK what does that mean? we can now speculate the physical distance of were Jehovah was to were he placed earth!

#1 we can use the genisis formula and arrive at this number in light years from earth.

3.1456221 that's the actual figure based on exact light speed versus age of the earth.

but whoop whoop! you are missing this! I bet it blew right in one ear and out the other!

3.14159 is pi!!!!! infinity eternity etc!

and its dangerously to close to my figure that I just gave you.

why? because the scientific people are right about the age of earth and light time relativity .

but the idiots missed the whole story here!

this is mathematics proof of the creation story and a being that lives in eternity!

theirs a slight decimal variation in the numbers because either earth is 4.5 and a micron years old or Jehovah traveled just a hair faster then light or our figures on light is off in microns.

so heavens about 3 days or 3 years depending on what way your traveling into eternity.

now I wish their was someone out their with a degree who could do these calculations. me doing them is dribble no credance to the scientific world but if a person with a degree did the math and filed a hypothesis their might finally come hardcore evidence that the bible story is true.

Gen 2:4 is not talking about Gen 1:1, it's talking about when he separated the waters.

Gen 1:7 "Then God went on to make the expanse and divided the waters beneath the expanse from the waters above the expanse. And it was so. God called the expanse Heaven."

Gen 1:10 "God called the dry land Earth, but the collecting of the waters, he called Seas."

Gen 1:1 says "in the beginning", this was a period of time before the creative days. We know this because the planet earth is in existence when at Gen 1:3 Jehovah says "let there be light". This isn't the creation of light, because the earth already exists.

Look at the context and setting, Jehovah is standing on the surface of the earth. So therefore "let there be light" means let the light pass through to the surface.

The "heavens" in Gen 1 are the stars, and the "heaven" in Gen 2 is the expanse on earth.

    The flood.

    The flood.

    Sediment Transport and Deposition

    The flood.

When was the largest extinction of plant and animal life? What would have been the best scenario to create oil from life? To have an entire planet teaming with life and then bury it instantly. At which point the sediment that is carried by the flood water would have buried said life, and the pressure from the water would have created a ripe environment to create pools, or collections of life into bio-mater.

I believe the 7X7000 chronology because Jehovah rested at the beginning of the 7th day almost 6000 years ago, and there is yet 1000 years of Christs rule ahead. So if there is nothing to say the other 6 days weren't the same length, then they were.

I also think a lot of fossils can be explained by the flood.

    Ps 104:
6 You covered it with deep waters as with a garment.+
The waters stood above the mountains.
7 At your rebuke they fled;+
At the sound of your thunder they ran away in panic
8 —Mountains ascended+ and valleys descended—
To the place you established for them.

9 You set a boundary that they should not pass,+
That they should never again cover the earth.

A lot of geological things happened at the time of the flood. As indicated in the text above, mountains went up and valleys became deeper.
The pressure of the waters of the flood must have been immense and so these can explain lot's of issues.
People who don't believe in the flood have to put these extreme timelines to explain the fossils and oil... but looking at the flood and the impact of it, is for me enough to believe that the creative days could be shorter than science would like us to believe.
So I'm in agreement with Josh for this.

That is a very good point Barry, and you know what those scriptures remind me of? Plate tectonics... I know what the world says about the movement of contenents and how long it would take, but I believe in the power of God, and if Pangea existed before the flood, and the movement of the contenents caused the mountains to rise at that time, then that would explain those scriptures.

Jehovah could have moved the continents and mountains at will.

Edit: There is a really interesting theory out there that I have always kept in mind, have you ever heard of the expanding Earth theory? If you haven't watched the videos, you should: https://youtu.be/7kL7qDeI05U

Yes that's exactly what I think. When the earth was flooded over the highest mountain at that time, the only way to get dry land was to get the oceans deeper and the mountains higher. That way the water could fill the oceans. Also this explains why they can find remains of seabeds on high altitudes, because they were lower before the flood.

What is “time†? We can define it as: time (n.) This description comes from what we perceive and from what we are taught.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish.†(Ecc 3:11 NWT) We don’t really know what time is, but Jehovah put the concept of time in mankind when he created us. Among physical theorists it is referred to as “space-timeâ€.

“Young children, it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared, from which fact we know that it is the last hour.†(1 Joh 2:18 NWT)

What is the subject here? Before you answer, read all of 1 John 2. What is the most important thing we should be aware of, and doing?

I love all the brothers and sisters here. That is why I continue to come back day after day. It is because of the world, and we are continually knocked about and skinned. (Mt 9:36 ) This “day†could be your last. It could be mine also. We do not know what can befall us.

“I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them.†(Ecc 9â€11-12 NWT)

You could be on your way to work, to the store, walking in the park, and something unexpected happens and we are no longer among the living. We go into the unknown, asleep.

I love my dear heavenly Father more than everything... I love my wife before God... I love my neighbour because of whom they are and not because I was told to love them. I love God's Word because I love the way He taught us the truth and paved the way for a universal salvation for mankind...

But I also remember Reader's post.... For some people, the Inquisition may be nowadays incarnated by the GB but please always remember that call looming out from the past, insinuating that the figurative Inquisition that keeps condemning Galileo's free mindset may also be our own religious frame of mind... :

    I couldn't agree more Utuna!

Imposing our temporal understanding of the scriptures as 'the objective truth' is spiritual inquisition.

It's almost comical how Galileo's example repeats itself over and over.

Therefore, to me, as long as someone lives within the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the 'interpretation' of scripture presented as 'objective truth' becomes a comedy of error.

[no human on this planet understands the complete truth of the Bible]

Literalists, metaphoricalists, empiricists, rationalists 'taking their stand on things they've seen' (Col 2:18) is mere white-noise.

Love your neighbor, love God, and paint the blood of Christ over your spiritual doorstep would seem to be the 'conclusion of the matter' and 'the whole obligation of man'. (Ecc 12:13)

As Tsaphah noted what is 'time' defined as? Such a simple word, with so many meanings.

The plate tectonics has been proven many times now by :

    1) Magnetostratigraphy is a geophysical correlation technique used to date sedimentary and volcanic sequences. The method works by collecting oriented samples at measured intervals throughout the section. The samples are analyzed to determine their characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM), that is, the polarity of Earth's magnetic field at the time a stratum was deposited. This is possible because volcanic flows acquire a thermoremanent magnetization and sediments acquire a depositional remanent magnetization, both of which reflect the direction of the Earth's field at the time of formation.

    3) Because of the mobility of volcanos above hot spots

The Pacific tectonic plate is presently moving over the asthenosphere toward the northwest at a rate of 5 to 10 cm per year. As the plate moves over the Hawaiian hotspot, magma periodically erupts to form volcanoes that become islands. The oldest island is Kure at the north-western end of the archipelago. The youngest is the Big Island of Hawaii at the south-eastern end. Loihi, east of the Big Island, is the newest volcano in the chain and may eventually form another island. As the Pacific plate moves to the northwest, islands are carried farther away from the hot spot, and the crust cools and subsides. At the same time, erosion gradually shrinks the islands, and unless there is further volcanic activity (or a drop in sea level) the island eventually submerges below the ocean surface. To the northwest of Kure, the Emperor Seamounts are the submerged remains of former islands that are even older than Kure.

    The Sun

Measurements of the sun's diameter over the past several hundred years indicate that it is shrinking at the rate of six feet per hour. Assuming that this rate has been constant in the past we can conclude that the earth would have been so hot only one million years ago that no life could have survived. And only 11,200,000 years ago the sun would have physically touched the earth. Also, if the sun were indeed billions of years old, then it seems a bit odd for its magnetic field to have doubled in the past 100 years, but this is seems to be what the evidence points to.

    The Moon

The gravitational pull between the Earth and Moon causes the Earth’s oceans to have tides. The tidal friction between the Earth’s terrestrial surface and the water moving over it causes energy to be added to the Moon. This results in a constant yearly increase in the distance between the Earth and Moon." 1 This tidal friction also causes the Earth’s rotation to slow down, but more importantly, the energy added to the Moon causes it to recede from the Earth. The rate of recession was measured at four centimeters per year in 1981; however, according to Physicist Donald DeYoung:

"One cannot extrapolate the present 4 cm/year separation rate back into history. It has that value today, but was more rapid in the past because of tidal effects. In fact, the separation rate depends on the distance to the 6th power, a very strong dependence ... the rate ... was perhaps 20 m/year ‘long’ ago, and the average is 1.2 m/year.

    Oil Pressure

When oil wells are drilled, the oil is almost always found to be under great pressure. This presents a problem for those who claim "millions of years" for the age of oil, simply because rocks are porous. For as time goes by, the oil should seep into tiny pores in the surrounding rock, and, over time, reduce the pressure. However, for some reason it doesn't. Perhaps because our oil deposits were created as a result of Noah's Flood only about 4600 years ago? Some scientists say that after about 10,000 years little pressure should be left.

    Oldest Living Life

The oldest living thing on earth is either an Irish Oak or a Bristlecone pine. If we assume a growth rate of one tree ring per year, then the oldest trees are between 4,500 and 4,767 years old. The fact that these trees are still alive and growing older means that we don't yet know how old they will get before they die. It also strongly suggests that something happened around 4,500 to 4,767 years ago which caused the immediate ancestors of these trees to die off. 13,14,15 Note also that it is possible for trees to produce more than one growth ring per year, which would shorten the above estimated ages of these trees. Also, with regard to fossil tree rings, the author has been unable to find any documented instances of fossil trees having more than about 1500 rings. This is significant since we are told that God (literally) made the Earth, and all that is in it, only about 1800 years before the Noachian Flood described in the Book of Genesis.

    Helium

Helium is a byproduct of the radioactive decay of uranium-238 as it decays into various different elements into its final stable element: lead 206. As it decays, the helium not only accumulates in the rocks themselves, but also escapes from them and accumulates in the earth's atmosphere. As time passes, the amount of helium in the atmosphere increases. Scientists have estimated the amount of uranium in the earth's crustal rocks. From this they estimate the amount of helium that should be produced, and from these they can calculate how much helium is being added to the atmosphere over a given amount of time. They also know how much helium is currently in the atmosphere.

If we use the same assumptions that radiometric dating experts make: i.e. no initial helium in the earth's early atmosphere, a constant decay rate, and that nothing has occurred to add to or take away the helium -- then the earth's atmosphere is at most 1.76 million years old. Other estimates say it is much less: or only 175,000 years.

    Earths Magnetic Field

The Earth's magnetic field is decaying at the rate of about 5% every 100 years. This means that about 1450 years ago it was twice as strong as it is today, and 2900 years ago it was four times as strong. Therefore, assuming that the rate of decay has been constant for the recent past, then only 10,000 years ago the earth's magnetic field was 128 times as strong as it is today: so strong that the amount of heat produced would have prevented life as we know it from existing on earth.

    Carbon 14

Carbon-14 is produced when radiation from the sun strikes Nitrogen-14 atoms in the earth's upper atmosphere. The earth's atmosphere is not yet saturated with C14. This means that the amount of C14 being produced is greater than the amount that is decaying back to N14. It is estimated that a state of equilibrium would be reached in as little as 30,000 years. Thus it appears that the earth's atmosphere is less than 30,000 years old. In fact, the evidence suggests it is less than 10,000 years old. Some of these estimates place the atmosphere's age at 50,000 years and others at 100,000 but they each pose serious problems for old-earth (i.e. millions or billions of years old) scenarios. See also reference 20 below, and associated Links.

"The careful investigations performed by scores of researchers in more than a dozen AMS facilities in several countries over the past twenty years to attempt to identify and eliminate sources of contamination in AMS 14C analyses have, as a by-product, served to establish beyond any reasonable doubt the existence of intrinsic 14C in remains of living organisms from all portions of the Phanerozoic record. Such samples, with ‘ages’ from 1-500 Ma (i.e. 1-500 million years ago) as determined by other radioisotope methods applied to their geological context, consistently display 14C levels that are far above the AMS machine threshold, reliably reproducible, and typically in the range of 0.1-0.5 pmc (percent modern carbon). But such levels of intrinsic 14C represent a momentous difficulty for uniformitarianism. A mere 250,000 years corresponds to 43.6 half-lives for 14C. One gram of modern carbon contains about 6 x 1010 14C atoms, and 43.6 half-lives worth of decay reduces that number by a factor of 7 x 1014. Not a single atom of 14C should remain in a carbon sample of this size after 250,000 years (not to mention one million or 50 million or 250 million years). A glaring (thousand-fold) inconsistency that... exists between the AMS-determined 14C levels and the corresponding rock ages provided by 238U, 87Rb, and 40K techniques. We believe the chief source for this inconsistency to be the uniformitarian assumption of time - invariant decay rates. Other research reported by our RATE group also supports this conclusion [7, 23, 42]. Regardless of the source of the inconsistency, the fact that 14C, with a half-life of only 5730 years, is readily detected throughout the ... half billion years of time uniformitarians assign to this portion of earth history is likely incorrect. The relatively narrow range of 14C/C ratios further suggests the Phanerozoic organisms (or the entire fossil-bearing strata of the geological time chart) may all have been contemporaries and that they perished simultaneously in the not so distant past. Finally, we note there are hints that 14C currently exists in carbon from environments sealed from biospheric interchange since very early in the earth history. We therefore conclude the 14C evidence provides significant support for a model of earth’s past involving a recent global Flood cataclysm and ... also for a young age for the earth itself."

In the end I have no idea who's right about the age of life on earth. I only present the other side of an argument because those arguments exist. To not at least read a counter argument means you could never confirm what you believe is fact. Therefore I look at all sides of a subject...

My stand all comes down to my belief in that the creative days were all the same length. Now if I believed they weren't then I may not feel the way I do, but such is the human mind. "Life is a paradox, a mirror of confusion." as our friend in the video I posted above said...lol

But to be honest, it's really not a big issue with me, it doesn't effect prophecy... :D
