This man had been in a motorcycle accident. He had a punctured lung, broken ribs and a ruptured spleen.

There was a build up of pressure in one of his lungs and this put pressure on the heart and made it turn 90 degrees to the right. The larger blood vessels in the body were also turned 90 degrees to the right as well.

The man was still conscious but his blood pressure had gone down.

The injured lung was drained and this allowed the heart to return to its normal position.
