When I have important decisions to make, do I put my trust in God or in men? —Prov. 3:5, 6.
That is a very good question, which wasn’t addressed in this paragraph. (Page 17, 5 )

It is better to take refuge in Jehovah
Than to trust in earthling man.
It is better to take refuge in Jehovah
Than to trust in nobles.

    (Ps. 118:8-9 NWT )

The prophecy about seven shepherds and eight dukes has its major fulfillment in our day. (Page 20, 16)

He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. (Ec. 3:11 NASB )

The most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of “the Assyrianâ€￾ is that of strengthening our faith in God and helping our brothers to do the same. (Page 20, 17)

Then immediately following that statement is this.

At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

Really? Do they mean following their instruction like that given by the Pharisees or Sadducees? They also claimed to be Jehovah’s representatives. Are we to follow Jehovah’s word, or that of earthling man? Even nobles?

Okay what about this....when Moses led the crowd to the point they crossed the red sea..it didn't look like a good decision from a logical point of view.
with mountains on either side, it looked as if they would be trapped.
they needed to put faith in what Moses said....the argument could be made for the situation today.

Unless what they are going to ask us is in blatant disregard of the scriptures,it could become a little confusing.

    Sis thinking:confused:

The thought that came to my mind was that Moses had proof that he had Jehovah's backing, such as the ten plagues. Feel free to correct me if I'm not thinking straight.

Okay but what if someone comes back with how the org has preached the good news in all the inhabited earth.
this was done by the FDS direction.

We have been amazingly effective and would appear to have Jehovah's backing ??
    is this not enough proof?

Either Jehovah is going to crush the WTBTS or he's not. If he's going to crush the organization as a form of discipline then it will be impossible for it to function in the future capacity that its speaking of.

Either Jehovah is going to revel the evil within the organization or he's not. If his will is to definitely reveal the evils within the organization, it will be impossible for them to gain any further trust of Jehovah's sheeple. They will be looked at as liars and hypocrites of the worst kind.

If Jehovah is sending his two witnesses to complete the preaching work, They will either remain silent about the watchtower cover ups or they wont. I doubt very seriously that they will turn a blind eye to it because Jehovah and Jesus certainly wont.

I don't see the reason for alarm or confusion here. Jehovah will not leave those who love him, and neither will he leave them confused not knowing what to do. At this point, it seems to me that Jehovah is allowing the watchtower to go to a point in which there Is no return. This is a test to the sheeple in which God they will choose. MAN or HIM.

Before or After Moses made the error of taking credit for that which rightly belonged to God saying "I will bring the water out of the rock for you". I find it interesting that Jehovah no longer found him suitable to lead the people into the promised land. Instead, Jehovah Chose Joshua to pick up where Moses left off.

I believe the Two Witnesses will serve as the 'Joshua Class' . Just my 2cents

Your right Gabriel, there's nothing really to worry about. The society will be blindsided by it's own demise and this statement will be for not, but it does highlight the fact that the GB still wants to tighten the grip on the minds of our brothers and sisters...

took me a while to find those articles (I had only gone up to Octobers study edition) but
having read Perimeno's , anointedJW's and JWsurvey , now I understand their latest pages
on these articles ...Yes , if I had OBEYED the elders I'd still be married to a paedophile .
    Proverbs 18:13
    King James Version (KJV)
13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
two or three requests to meet with them denied as they had "already decided" on
how they were going to handle my husband , without any consultation with myself
or the children (the injured parties) , I have to fully agree with what the anointedJW
site published on this matter (partially knowing they regularly send mail to "Bethel")
how apropos is that name (what's in a name ?) for the group of shepherds who have
taken residence there and the leadership from that former place in Israel ...darn don't
mean to rehash old injuries that will never be remedied this side of the "Wrath of God"
it's a thorn in my side to remind me that all reliance is to be upon God in matters of
justice and undeserved kindness ...I wonder how many in the congregations are sick
to the point being disgusted with this line of "watchtower studies" this year ...One article
this year had the "the organization" mentioned some 30times in the single article alone.
The demands for obedience to men has become tiresome in the extreme . Having taken
up some study this year of "psywar" and how the mind can be manipulated (in addition
to all those wonderful clips this year on the brain games and "Your Bleeped up Brain"
segments on the History channel . ( I don't trust mine at all ) I am becoming more
vigilant in what I accept as "truth" ...tho as I said earlier I tend to fall into this same
frame of mind published on the anointedJW site ...tho I may agree with a great deal
on the site (such as all should partake passover whatever or whereever they think to land in
Gods Kingdom , as such Christ the "son of God" , as Adam was designated a "son of God"
as did all in the kingdom of Israel whether King , Priest or farmer or alien resident) I am
loving the Glory they give to Jah and Christ Jesus as fully able to manage "the Kingdom"
that belongs to them and to which we hope to be enjoined to. anyhow enjoyed the page
    below immensely ...

“All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.â€￾ - WTB&TS THE WATCHTOWER (STUDY EDITION) NOVEMBER 2013, Study article paragraph 17.

This is a scary statement. Remember Hitler? His SS had this inscribed on their belt buckles. Gott mit uns = God with us.

That is an eagle holding the swastika. The swastika is an ancient symbol which means "to be good"

“Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. In the first stage of life the mind is frivolous and easily distracted, it misses progress by failing in consecutiveness and persistence. This is the condition of children and barbarians, in which instinct has learned nothing from experience.â€￾- George Santayana

“When I was a babe, I used to speak as a babe, to think as a babe, to reason as a babe; but now that I have become a man, I have done away with the [traits] of a babe. For at present we see in hazy outline by means of a metal mirror, but then it will be face to face. At present I know partially, but then I shall know accurately even as I am accurately known.â€￾ (1 Cor. 13:11-12 NWT)

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.â€￾(Mat. 7:15 ESV) Pseudoprophetes = one who, acting the part of a divinely inspired prophet, utters falsehoods under the name of divine prophecies.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,â€￾ he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.â€￾
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.â€￾
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?â€￾
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.â€￾

    Dear Sis Thinking,

Before the crossing of the Red Sea, Moses had been already granted authority and had performed unambiguous powerful acts in God's name. The Israelites already knew at that point what Moses was capable of and only bad hearts and bad faith would challenge him and question his authority.

It'll be the same when Christ's brothers are revealed and start their final work. If you have faith in God, help them and know that their seeming defeat (like Jesus') will paradoxically result in victory, you will trust them because there won't be any other way... That will be obvious !

The Holy Spirit gave and still gives the JWs (as a whole) what was/is needed to that end (that is the preaching work). What's about to take place next will be way above what we have been used to so far. The power received and the scale of action will be incommensurate with what's going on nowadays. You can't compare both situations. Furthermore, as what happened in 1918-1919 (Rutherford & Co in jail) isn't God's punishment upon his people, then it's still to be expected. The WT may not be as right as rain by then. You may then not have the opportunity to ask yourself that question because the answer will be obvious to you, given the situation....
