Are you not convinced that you can benefit from what is written in the Bible? There in you find examples

of faithful men and women whose life course and qualities you would like to imitate. (Heb.11:32-34)

However, you have likely noted warning examples also —men and women whose deeds or attitudes you do well to avoid.

Actually, some individuals mentioned in the Bible stand out both as good examples of the course to
follow and as warnings of what to shun. Think of David, a humble shepherd and then a powerful king. You find in him a good example of one who loved truth and trusted in Jehovah. Yet, David was guilty of serious wrongs, such as those involving Bath-sheba,Uriah, and an ill-advised census.

Hi All:

This was a very good Watchtower article that this daily text was taken from. I read it today and found the information very interesting. I was unaware that Solomon had formed a marriage alliance with the Pharaoh of Egypt, by marrying his daughter. Although this was by no means the only foreign wife that Solomon took, she was indeed his highest profile one. Up until this time of his acquiring so many foreign wives, Solomon had proved a wise and understanding King over Israel. In the aftermath of this folly, it was proven to be his downfall, from which he never recovered.

For many years that Watchtower preached and practiced being "no part of this world", and during that time they prospered. Yes, they made mistakes along the way, but for the most part they did good things to prosper the kingdom. Since their relationship with the U.N. as an NGO, the same cannot be said. It has been particularly since that time that this alliance with the world, or this "marriage" to a foreign wife that they have also grown in their admiration and worship of the idol in the Watchtower of the Governing Body. This is exactly how it is portrayed in the scripture that I often quote, as I will do now, that...

18“And to the angel of the congregation in Thy‧a‧ti′ra write: These are the things that the Son of God says, he who has his eyes like a fiery flame, and his feet are like fine copper,19‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and ministry and endurance, and that your deeds of late are more than those formerly.

20“‘Nevertheless, I do hold [this] against you, that you tolerate that woman Jez′e‧bel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.21And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication.22Look! I am about to throw her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.23And her children I will kill with deadly plague, so that all the congregations will know that I am he who searches the kidneys and hearts, and I will give to ​YOU​ individually according to ​YOUR​ deeds. The Watchtower would have you believe that Jezebel mentioned here are the meddling "sisters" in the congregations, but remember Jezebel was no mere "sister" or average Israelite women, no, she was the wife of King Ahab, who like Solomon had taken a foreign wife in taking Jezebel as his Queen. No doubt the influence of Jezebel proved key in Ahab's terrible and unrighteous Kingship over Israel as he gave far too much attention to her unrighteous influence. Jezebel today is a very symbolic fulfillment of the historical Jezebel. In the history of the Watchtower, from it's beginning, it was run top down from the office of the President. Russell, Rutherford, Knorr, and lastly Franz who happened to take over the Presidency from Knorr on his passing. It was Franz who would "inherit" Jezebel, which is the Governing Body exercising undo influence on the Presidency just as the historical Jezebel exercised undo influence over Ahab. I am not at all insinuating that Ahab would have been a good king had he not had the unrighteous influence of Jezebel, but no doubt his evil Kingship would have been blunted without her.

If you have the time and the inclination, read or listen to brother Fred Franz' speech to the graduating class of Gilead where he gave his very candid and negative appraisal of the new Governing Body arrangement that his presidency and the presidency of Milton Henschel inherited until the office of the President of the Watchtower was made purely ceremonial in about the year 2000. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/wat...First-Century-Governing-Body-Fred-Franzs-View Yes, Jezebel had taken over. But, just as Jezebel was finally put to death and her influence over God's people was "squashed" and her flesh was consumed by the dogs, so this Jezebel will meet a similar fate. Unless that is, unlike Solomon, they recognize their folly and "repent". I hope they do at some point but I fear that will not happen.

that is a very astute observation you make there about the Jezebel influence
in the WT, because even the ‘president’ of the congregation is really supposed
to be Christ, not a self-perpetuating hierarchy of self-appointed men who
lord it over what are supposed to be their brothers.

While the WT claims to be politically neutral, it is in fact very much involved
in propagating the treasonous internationalist agenda of vilifying the existing
order of national sovereignties, which God ordained to serve as a restraint
against the tyranny of the emerging global empire of the Synagogue of
Satan.

I don't at all share your opinion from your second paragraph, but it reminds me that you never did answer some of my questions of you from another daily text, such as what is your spiritual background, who do you think God is, what or who is the Holy Spirit, what happens to someone when they die, who exactly is Yahshua and what is his relationship to YHWH etc., etc. You know much more about me than I do of you, and I get the feeling that you like operating from the shadows, not really showing the real you, simply jabbing and moving. Am I correct? And when, if ever will you truely reveal yourself. John is the same way.

as to the revealing of myself, well, I better leave that to the Father,
but if you want to know who I am, you know the old saying: ‘tell me
what you believe, and I tell you who you are.’

I have decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ,
and Him impaled; everything else is irrelevant – God does not go by
a man’s outward appearance, nor by his standing in life outside of
Christ.

And besides, even Jesus was not entrusting Himself to His audience
because of His knowing them all, and because He was in no need
to have anyone bear witness about man, because He Himself
knew what was in man.

So do you not recognize the internationalist agenda as a political cause,
or do you think that the WT's multiculturalism is just incidental to them?

 

By the way, for what it is worth, I am a non-sectarian Christian who believes
that Jesus is the Only-Begotten Son of God, whose Spirit resides in each
member of His Body,

which is to be glorified and snatched away to Heaven at His second coming
to restore this planet to what it should be.

And death means the opposite of life.

I hope that doesn't qualify me as a JW, lol
