We[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] might imagine that there is little[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] we can do or say that will change[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] their attitude. Still, events may[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] cause a change in your relatives’[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] life or viewpoint. Without[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] being preachy, give evidence of[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] how the truth has affected you for[/FONT][FONT=Tahoma, sans-serif] the good. The consensus amongst my own family is that they would prefer to "see a sermon rather than hear one." They also observe the behaviour of other Witnesses, "from the sidelines" (in other words, in the background.)
"But Jesus said to them: “A prophet is not unhonored except in his home territory and in his own house." - Matt. 13:57 (Luke 4:24) But he said: “Truly I tell YOU that no prophet is accepted in his home territory. (John 4:44) Jesus himself, however, bore witness that in his own homeland a prophet has no honor.
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?†31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.†32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized I don't believe there are any existing manuscripts early or otherwise that support the translation to include Jehovah's name in these verses . It is a blatant construction of assumption that is not supported ANYWHERE ..
