Does it really make sense for a modern Individual to spring from one of these horns of the goat? Did they clone one of those generals or something? No but it's very logical it's the 8th king because the KON originates as the Seleucid empire and's final identity is the 8th king.

As for the world government does it have to be the UN it could be some new organization or a merging of the UN EU North American union and trans pacific partnership. The point of the UN this century has been to manage the third world and reduce US power and effectiveness. It may end up a component of the beast or an irrelevant distraction.

Yes, it was the nations, not the men. But of course the men were those given the power to lead the nations. And, of course, the beast is representative of the governments of mankind. :)

The history is quite interesting when we have the bible foretelling what was to happen. The fall of Greece to the Romans. The Caesars, Cleopatra, Anthony . . . etc. Ahh, if we only had a time machine.

You know brother, we've spoke of this very subject before. I often imagine a possible way to resurrect ones from the path, and that could be to unravel the timeline in reverse. Christs brothers could walk the streets of the past taking people from it after determining their character. I for one wouldn't mind visiting all the ages of the past...

Joshua, have you ever studied who are all the kings fortold in Daniel 11? For example Daniel 11:2:
What I will tell you now is the truth:
“Look! Three more kings will stand up* for Persia, and the fourth one will amass greater riches than all others. And when he becomes strong by means of his riches, he will rouse up everything against the kingdom of Greece.

Is not the prophecy here talking about literal individual kings of Persia?

In order to understand Daniel 11 it is necessary to read Daniel 10. It is a continuous description of the march of powers. Daniel 10 deals with the Medo-Persian empires, then Dan. 11 deals with the fall of Darius in his fight with Alexander the Great. He was defeated in 331 B.C. That was the beginning of the Grecian empire which was divided into four parts when Alexander died at the age of 33. His kingdom was then divided among his four generals, Ptolemy, Seleucas, Lysimachus, and Cassander.

To understand this information thoroughly, you must also read Esther, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezra, Daniel 5 and 8, along with some Apocrypha of 1 and 2 Maccabees.
