A United Nations committee on Wednesday issued a scathing indictment of the Catholic Church’s handling of child sexual abuse cases involving clerics, releasing a report that went far beyond how the church managed abuse allegations to include criticism of its teachings on homosexuality, gender equality and abortion.

It condemned a “code of silenceâ€￾ within the church against reporting acts of abuse to authorities, and called on the church to release a mountain of documents on internal investigations of abuse cases.

I wonder how the GB and the WT would react if, one day, similar accusations came from their former strange bedfellow...?

Very true, who knows the catholic church may just be the first with more churches to come. I heard the other day of a young man trying to claim against the church but there not having it, they know they are branded paedophiles already and are not prepared to lose money over it, unlike the WT, who will do everything in it's power to conceal and keep it's squeaky clean image intact. But i think this will be coming to a church near you

Well this is certainly more than a thorn in the WT's side.
And since I have more knowledge than most having
known personally several paedophiles within and more than
a few kids violated. But in truth where there is innocence
to be violated there the vultures will gather . And is true
concerning most churches and some of the stories told
me over the years by those who suffered under them by
deacons and elders and leaders within the various sects .
