He brings out some interesting points worthy of reflection but I am in no way saying he is totally correct...hopefully I can find some more view points on this interesting scripture

Is he from Scotland? It's the accent. The tie to Isaiah 24 was timely.

Yeah it seems the best description of that scripture I’ve found but I’m open to listen and ponder more...

O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name,” ( Isa 25: 1a )
Well, how can modern day man say that they will praise His name, when they edit it out, and replace it with LORD.

LORD is not a name, it is a title! God is also not a name, but a title.

    lord (n.)
mid-13c., laverd, loverd, from Old English hlaford "master of a household, ruler, feudal lord, superior; husband," also "God," translating Latin dominus, Greek kyrios in the New Testament, Hebrew yahweh in the Old (though Old English dryhten was more frequent). Old English hlaford is a contraction of earlier hlafweard, literally "one who guards the loaves," from hlaf "bread, loaf" (see loaf (n.)) + weard "keeper, guardian" (from PIE root *wer- (3) "perceive, watch out for").

    lord (v.)
    c. 1300, “to exercise lordship, rule as a lord,” from lord (n.). Intransitive meaning “to play the lord, domineer” is late 14c. Related: Lorded; lording. To lord it is from 1570s.

    lordy (interj.)
1832, in imitation of African-American vernacular; extended form of Lord (n.) as an interjection.

Lawdy Miss Clawdy by Lloyd Price 1952

    Good Day Thinking,
While looking for some scriptures dealing with persecution, I found this portion of Paul’s letter to the Romans. As I read it, I recognized that He was writing to ME, because I have been wanting to do the wrong things. I guess it’s my human nature.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.’”

    On the contrary:
    If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” ( Rom 12:14-21 NIV ) For ME, that is almost impossible!:mad::mad:

Good morning Bro T..I smiled at your honest words because I see me,,,,always thinking and doing the wrong thing...once someone give me a compliment...and I felt like a fraud....and said if you got into my heart and read my mind you would instantly disfellowship me...a 100 times over....

That’s why I love all the bible characters that did so much wrong...they give me a little hope...
I think the older we get Bro T...and our youthful brashness..dies away..we see what Jehovah puts up with in us... and it’s heavy to carry...but also makes it easy not to judge others ...for we then condemn ourselves.
I cannot fulfill that scripture you quoted...and anyone that says they can are living under a delusion...but it’s just a guideline for us to aim at...well that’s what I keep telling myself o_O

I think how the Israelites could never ever keep the law....how depressing that must have been....and now we are under Christ’s law....and still we can not keep that .... how depressing that is.....if you read one of Joshs post he wrote where there is more sin there Grace overflows....or something like that.
    Is that a scripture???...because I really liked that...I found it soothing...because I NEED that....
But we keep trying ...and that’s gotta count with Jehovah because he’s a loving Father....and I hold onto that too....;)

    Hi Thinking,
I believe that is one of Josh’s wonderful thoughts. I searched the scriptures and could not find it there.
