This post made me.... really sad. Leave it to man to make such petty rules, and then judge other's spirituality for it. Sigh, so depressing.

(... and I've always hated being forced to wear dresses to the hall. it's not me at.)

I still don't understand why if I have sideburns that a brother would be proud of, why doesn't that give me licence to wear dress pants to the hall? :)

I wear dress pants a lot at work.

Then I have days where I don't feel like getting dressed up to go to the hall, or dress up for work. When I'm in that kind of mood, I'm tempted to just go in my pajamas and slippers.

Just do what you want. I know sisters Who never wore a dress in KH. And some sisters are wearing women dresses so ugly that they should better wear pants.

The funny thing is women are allowed to wear pants in the kingdom hall if they're Indian and wearing a sari, because that's "cultural garb." I don't know how pants on women are not "cultural garb" for American women at this point.

Everyone is convinced that Paradise will bring about unlocked brain capacity. There is no proof that we don't use our full capacity, it is just a theory that is preached as fact. The WTS also likes telling people that they will be ordering people around in Paradise as they clean up the Earth, the tiresome motto "Direction from the Brothers". HAHA No one will command me in Paradise other than the Heavenly Kings, Priests, Jehovah and Jesus. Seriously, the nerve they have to even think their would be human hierarchy outside of the husband/wife familial structure in Paradise, just shows you how power hungry they are. The Elder, MS blueprint will be terminated in the new system.

Technology. People better ready themselves, because Armageddon will absolutely destroy everything, no legacy systems will appear in Paradise, which means, there will be no factories producing motherboards and micro chips. If you want to construct software, you better learn how to build your own computer from the resources of the earth, which means you will have to find it yourself too. Better learn how to construct a TV monitor yourself as well, those will not be found anywhere. And this is how it will be in the beginning, the human race will have to reengineer everything. Granted it will not take six thousand years, but every person who wishes to utilize a PC, boat, plane, will have to build it themselves, everyone will work for themselves.

Orchid, I do agree with you here! I've got a closet full of dresses now and it's fine, but I wish we could dress up in dress pants. I'm a big fan of a nice suit. Especially in service if you live in a region with a winter... I remember the first memorial I attended and I felt so awkward about showing up in dress pants with a nice sweater and a wrap around top with a belt. It looked very nice, I thought, but it was pretty clear I should have had a skirt on. Even though the person I studied with said I looked nice regardless, I definitely felt out of place!

I will say brother that there is evidence in scripture that some things will be left over, and collected.

Zech 14:14 "Judah will also be involved in the war at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in vast quantity."
