Wednesday, June 9 God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name. —Heb. 6:10. Thousands of Bethel family members and others have received new assignments. These faithful brothers and sisters may find it challenging to leave a cherished assignment. If you are one of them, what can help you to deal with the change? Remain close to Jehovah by reading the Scriptures daily and pondering on them. Also, continue to be fully involved in preaching the good news in your new congregation. Jehovah remembers those who continue to serve him faithfully, even if they cannot do all they did before. Keep your life simple. Do not let the anxieties of Satan’s world “choke” your spiritual activity. (Matt. 13:22) Reject pressure from the world or from well-meaning friends or relatives to seek financial security in Satan’s system. (1 John 2:15-17) Trust in Jehovah, who promises to provide for all our spiritual, emotional, and material needs “at the right time.”—Heb. 4:16;13:5, 6. w19.0820 ¶4;21-22 ¶7-8
Thousands of Bethel family members and others have received new assignments. These faithful brothers and sisters may find it challenging to leave a cherished assignment. If you are one of them, what can help you to deal with the change? ) - WTBTS Paul the apostle seems to avoid like the plague, what this first paragraph exudes, a terrible clique. The apostle did refer to individuals he was working with and groups. He didnt typically go with 'The family of Jerusalem', 'The Thesalonian Golden Bros' or 'The Corinthian Sparkle Truth Gang' What is the bethel family ? A family within a family ? To be fair on WTBTS oversight Im not exactly sure how you prevent this stuff from happening, it tends toward elitism though. Paul was very serious about avoiding this. Neither have we been seeking glory from men, no, either from YOU or from others, though we could be an expensive burden as apostles of Christ. I did not go at once into conference with flesh and blood. Neither did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles previous to me, but I went off into Arabia, and I came back again to Damascus. Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to visit Ceʹphas, and I stayed with him for fifteen days. But I saw no one else of the apostles, only James the brother+ of the Lord. Now as to the things I am writing YOU, look! in the sight of God, I am not lying. (Matt. 13:22) - WTBTS The second paragraph has a more direct approach. As the meat in the sandwich or vegan pastrami it seems okay. Reject pressure from the world or from well-meaning friends or relatives to seek financial security in Satan’s system. (1 John 2:15-17) Trust in Jehovah, who promises to provide for all our spiritual, emotional, and material needs at the right time. - WTBTS A wise king once said 'there is a time for everything'. Now is not the time for this. The 'bethel family' are credited in WTBTS literature for taking a vow of poverty. Chefs to cook all your meals. Laundry done for you. Rent, energy costs, utillities taken care of for you. At best you could call it a 'vow of modesty'. That this is decribed as poverty is an insult to the suffering of humanity all over the world. Lord Mirriam Webster wont be coming for his definition today from the WTBTS. Bethel actually has its own farms to produce all its food, which is sensible. How does it counsel others on the same subject ? Will Bethel share its produce with all the 'New york', 'London' or 'world wide association of believers'.... Familys ? Or will it just be for 'The bethel family' if emergency strikes ? Hide a tin of beans, what is being counselled here don't amount to a hill of it.
