The other day, I was thinking about all the things that have happened to changes that got me to where "I am." So, I decided to start this subject, “What If . . . ?”

Many times in our lives, small things happen and we don’t understand the “What happened?”. Or, sometimes we don’t even recognize that it happened. That is; until later.

Soooo, to start it off; Where would I be “If” I didn’t join the military? It’s likely that I would not be where I live now. I also would not be the person “I am.” And, there are so many other factors that affected my life. Especially Jehovah, and His Son, Jesus. More to come.

Some of the biggest decisions I've made in my life were based on faith, even though they didn't always turn out as I would have hoped.

I wonder sometimes where I might be without those major decisions, but then I only simply wish to currently have the things we need.

    What if...

And full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, forty days, being tested by the Devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they being ended, He afterwards hungered. And the Devil said to Him, If You are Son of God, speak to this stone that it become a loaf.” (Luke 4:1-3 LITV ) Jesus was hungry, What if he chose to listen to Satan?

When we pray to Jehovah, and receive a blessing, what do we do? One thing is certain: Satan will put something before us that will gratify our earthly desires. He wants us go against God’s directions. Don't give in!

What If? The thousand year reign of Satan started in the year 66, when Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed by the Romans. Then, the end of that reign would be 1,066. That would be the start of the reign of Christ, which would start with the chaining of Satan for 1,000 years. That period would end in 2,066, which would be the time according to Rev 20:7-10, when Satan is released for a short period of time, and then thrown into the lake of fire. And, this would be the beginning of the new kingdom of God. (Rev. 20:11) That is only a generation away.

Maybe . . . Probably Not!! Only God knows! :)

What If: the beast’s head that receives the apparent death blow is Russia, as the Watchtower says?
( Rev 13:3 ) One thing to remember is that “the beast” is the main character here. It represents “all of the nations” which rule over mankind. “The beast” gets it’s power from “the dragon”. (Lu 4:5-8, Rev 13:4)

Babylon was destroyed and then seen alive in Revelation. Why not Babylon as the death stroke that was healed?

Hi AJ. It’s good to read you are still here. It appeared that me and JIG were the only old-timers still around making comments.

I don’t see Babylon as one of the heads of the beast that comes out of the sea. She rides on the scarlet colored beast; which I see as different from the multi-headed beasts that comes out of sea and earth. ( Rev 13:1, 11; 17:3 ) Both of these beasts get their power and authority from the dragon. (Rev 13:4) There is a saying; “You can’t fight city hall!”, and in Revelation, “Who is like the beast; who is able to make war with it?” ( Rev 13:4 ) It is easy to assume that the scarlet beast and the seven headed beast are one in the same. I won’t go that far. But, because the beast mentioned at 13:1 is said to come out of the sea, it relates to “many waters”, and is explained at Rev 17:15.

I may seem to be rambling a bit here. This has been written over several days, with many distractions. So, according to Revelation, the harlot sits on: ( many waters 17:1, 15 ), (a scarlet beast 17:3 ), ( a seven headed beast 17:7 ), which is also the scarlet colored beast and come out of the abyss, (17:11-13, 16). This may also be the beast that receives the death stroke and comes back to life. I see what you are talking about. In the past I have said that Revelations events are not sequential.

Here is another interesting thought about the beast. Most bible scholars think that this beast is the same as the first one mentioned that had seven heads and ten horns. They also believe that it represents Rome and the Catholic church. They also believe the seven heads represent the seven mountains of Rome.

Here is wisdom: Let the one having reason count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man and its number is six hundred and sixty six.” ( Rev 13:18 ) The Greek word for six is hex!

The following information is from Etymology Online ( https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=hex )
    hex (v.)
1830, American English, from Pennsylvania German hexe “to practice witchcraft,” from German hexen “to hex,” related to Hexe “witch,” from Middle High German hecse, hexse, from Old High German.

    hexa-
before vowels and in certain chemical compound words hex-, word-forming element meaning “six,” from Greek hexa-, combining form ….of hex “six,” from PIE root *sweks- (see six).

    six (n.)
Old English siex, six, sex, from Proto-Germanic *seks (source also of Old Saxon and Danish seks, Old Norse, Swedish, and Old Frisian sex, Middle Dutch sesse, Dutch zes, Old High German sehs, German sechs, Gothic saihs), from PIE *s(w)eks (source also of Sanskrit sas, Avestan kshvash, Persian shash, Greek hex, Latin sex, Old Church Slavonic sesti, Polish sześć, Russian shesti, Lithuanian šeši, Old Irish se, Welsh chwech).

Six-shooter, usually a revolver with six chambers, is first attested 1844; six-pack of beverage containers is from 1952, of abdominal muscles by 1995. Six of one and half-a-dozen of the other “little difference” is recorded from 1833. Six-figure in reference to hundreds of thousands (of dollars, etc.) is from 1840. Six feet under “dead” is from 1942.

Phrase at sixes and sevens originally was “hazarding all one’s chances,” first in Chaucer, perhaps from dicing (the original form was on six and seven); it could be a corruption of at cinque and sice “exposed to great risk” (1530s), literally “at five and six,” using the French names (which were common in Middle English) for the highest numbers on the dice. Meaning “at odds, in disagreement or confusion” is from 1785, perhaps via a notion of “left unsettled.”

Greetings brother, we are here together in this world and the next, always...

I will simply share with you what I have seen...

I see the scarlet beast as the risen beast from the sea, but I do not believe the sword stroke is the abyssing. I have come to believe the beast comes from the sea with the death stroke healed, and then after that the whole beast goes into the abyss, and back out as the scarlet 8th beast. These two events being separate, but the beast the same. I believe the death stroke has already occurred and has healed, yet the abyssing is still yet future.

I believe the beasts from the sea are the beasts from Dan 7, they are both described as the lion, leopard and bear. I have also believed the second beast of Rev 13 are the last two beast from Dan 7 that are mentioned in Rev 13, that of the fierce beast and the little horn. These are mentioned as the two horned beast, a combined beast in Rev 13, just as in Dan 7. A two horned beast in Rev 13, and a fierce beast with a small horn in Dan 7.

I have come to believe the lion of Dan 7 is Babylon, and as well Babylon as the mouth of the lion in Rev 13. The head being the lion in Rev 13, and the rider of the scarlet beast of Rev 17. The head rides/sits on top...

Further, notice the condition the king is put into in Dan 4. He was made as a beast, he ate vegetation as bulls, his hair as eagle feathers and nails of claws.

Now look at the lion in Dan 7, the wings of an "eagle" are plucked out. It was lifted up from the earth to stand like a man, and was given the heart of a man, no longer that of a beast.

This seems clear the lion in Dan 7 is the healed condition of Babylon from Dan 4, which is a clear connection to the death stroke healed in Rev 13. It is the mouth that is the lion in Rev 13 after all.

The head of gold (Dan 2) the lion (Dan 7) the mouth (Rev 13) the rider (Rev 17). Going back to Babel, this city has always been the head of Satan's organizational arrangement on earth, and represents his seat of power.

We have spoke before of the striking comparisons between Gen 11 and Dan 4. The tree in Dan 4 is a direct connection to Gen 11 and the fall of Babel, and this theme continues all throughout Scripture.

The waters are further confirmation to me that the women is Babylon, the city that sat at the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates. These waters of course are representative in the end as many peoples nations and tongues of Rev 17:15, that were formed from the events at Babel...

I do believe as many historians have over these last two millenia that this healed death stroke and that women that is a city over kings is the Catholic church... Rev 17:18

The only way to communicate is through expression my dear friend...

    All love brother...

"And it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation." Rev 13:7

"The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues." Rev 17:15

Hi Joshua, that is very interesting, worth building on. "And it was granted it to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them" Rev. 13: 7 "And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus." Rev. 17:6. Christian Love, Regent.

I read [reed] Revelation as reading a movie script. In movies there are what is called a “back story”. Although you may be half way or more, into the main story, you will be taken back to an earlier point in time. This will reveal information about the main character or villain that occurs later in the story. This is similar in Revelation, to the beasts, the dragon, the lamb, harlot, etc. Revelation has many “back stories”.

    Hello Regent,
You may be interested in reading my post way back in January 17, 2014.
Posted under “If (Babylon the Great == X) Then ....”, Page 3 of 6, #42. Both Josh and I covered the subject in detail.
