I recently saw a movie with a close friend, who wanted to see it. It is titled “WAVES”. It, “Traces the journey of a suburban family - led by a well-intentioned but domineering father - as they navigate love, forgiveness, and coming together in the aftermath of a loss.”

A few days later, I was reading the Bible, and came across these scriptures.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” ( James 1:6 NKJV )

In Revelation the sea is described as “many waters” ( Rev 17:1b ). Isaiah says; “Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas, And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!” ( Isa 17:12 NKJV ) Also, James says; “. . . raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” ( James 1:13 NKJV )

Then, to understand what these waves mean, we read; “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,” ( Rev 17:1 NKJV ) “And he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.’” ( Rev 17:15 NKJV )

As we can see, the Revelation given to John used figurative speech, called semaphores to describe the scenes like a movie that he was viewing. The Greek term used here is “semaino”, from which we get semaphore, and is translated as ‘signs”.
In Revelation 1:1, the word is translated to English as “communicated”. Another analogy would be to describe it as “sign language”, which is a manual code representing words.

Another thought came to me as I was thinking about the waves. What makes waves? Wind! There is a saying about that. It’s “Whichever way the wind blows”.

Going Whichever Way the Wind Blows
    Pete Droge

Going whichever way the wind blows,
You were caught in your world,
    I was lost in mine.

Going whichever way the wind blows,
    Staring through the windshield,
    Seeing the other side.
Let it go, it will get easier,
Let it go, just enjoy the ride.

Going whichever way the wind blows,
    Spacing on the road map,
    Useless dots and lines.

Going whichever way the wind blows,
    Tearing out the pages,
    Just to watch them fly,
Let it go, it will get easier,
Let it go, just enjoy the ride.

Let it go, it will get easier,
Let it go, just enjoy the ride.
Going whichever way the wind blows,
Going whichever way the wind blows,
Stare into the rearview, leaving it all behind

Don't become a wave. You may get blown against the rocks. Get into Jehovah's safe boat along with His Son, Jesus Christ!

    Hi Lady,
Somehow, time is slipping away. Too many things to do, so little time. I see that you are experiencing similar weather that we had in our summer. I see there will be a possible new record for your area, 49.9C = 121.82F. And, on top of that, wild fires destroying wildlife habitat. The poor little koala’s are being decimated. Of course your high is yet to come this afternoon.

I spent some time trying to use our old “Zulu Time”, but it wasn’t clear to me at what time that would be, because it’s Military Time, and your area was not available. Right now; as I write, it’s Monday 8 AM, 94 F.

I love Kansas (the band). I have all their albums. I made a video way back when, to one of their songs. My oldest daughter reminded me about it a while back. I had forgotten all about it. I don’t even know if I could find it among all my videos. I have hundreds of them. She said she remembered that I played it for here high school, American History class. You will see my connection to the song.

    "Cheyenne Anthem"

    [Robby Steinhardt:]
From the mountains to the sun, Life has only just begun
We wed this land and pledge our souls to meet its end
    Life has only just begun
Here my people roam the earth, in the kingdom of our birth
Where the dust of all our horses hides the sun
We are mighty on the earth, on the earth

    [Steve Walsh:]
You have come to move me, take me from my ancient home
Land of my fathers I can't leave you now
We will share it with you, no man owns this earth we're on

Now the wheels are rolling hear the howling winds of war
It's my destiny to fight and die
But is there no solution, can we find no other way, Lord let me stay
Under the endless sky and the earth below
Here I was born to live and I will never go, oh no

    [Choir:]
But we cannot endure like the earth and the mountains
Life is not ours to keep, for a new sun is rising

    [Robby Steinhardt:]
Soon these days shall pass away, for our freedom we must pay
All our words and deeds are carried on the wind
In the ground our bodies lay, here we'll stay

    Hey Bro T,
You hang in there ....and yes I see the connection :(...I hope you find those videos I would love to see them as everyone here who pops in would...but I know it’s a pain when you know you have something and cannot seem to find it...but I sure hope you do.
I’ll send some news items about our fires to you....we are hitting 53C in a lot of places over here...one can add another three to five Celsius on to the offical weather given out..it’s never very accurate.
Our Infrastructure is not capable of handling the mass fires...they are relentless ....our population is just too small.
We watch the California fires, the earthquakes and tornadoes and floods, torrential rains..happening world wide..every land is suffering ...I’ll have to find a suitable song but I’m afraid it won’t be a upbuilding one... but the time ... they are a changing!

Well after looking and searching for songs that described this world...such as ...Mad world....don’t cry for me Argentina ....I had a dream...and many others ..all it did was make me feel depressed....and I realised why I listen to music....it’s for a distraction from such a world...it made me want to sing this...

Yes, we do! That song gives me chills. It reminds me of the sound of those UH-1 Huey “choppers”. We have the local sheriffs helicopters that come over every once in a while (looking for the bad guys). They have a different sound, but it still makes me uneasy. It is apparent that mankind never learns from the past history, and keep repeating it over and over again. They’re doing the same thing again in the middle east, today.

I just stepped outside to help the wife bring in groceries. Guess what was flying overhead?

Well, you are already into the “new year”. Ours is a day behind. I see that Mr. Morrison has no problem with fireworks to celebrate the new year. I was aghast at how much of Australia was burning. It is the whole east coast!! It seems equivalent to the west coast of America, from Mexico to Canada.

It’s still on going even tho we had a cool change for two days....more fires starting up in other states and On the other side of Australia...western Australian highway has been closed...so far for a week...due to fires over there.

State of NSW to declare state of emergency tomorrow.
Estimated 500 million wild life lost

Actually I’d be very surprised if Morrison got in again..
Those areas you talked about are Some of the most beautiful places in Australia ...and wow!, I had no idea about that size compared with the USA
Below is the latest news of the Day
    What we know so far

    • The Victorian premier, Daniel Andrews, says 17 people are now unaccounted for across the state as more than 50 fires continue to burn. One person is confirmed dead in Victoria.
    • In NSW, the RFS confirms the number of homes lost since New Year’s Eve now stands at 382. Overall, nearly 1,300 homes have been lost.
    • Authorities in NSW order holidaymakers to evacuate the south coast area. That prompts long lines at local supermarkets and lengthy delays for those looking to refuel their cars, while many communities are still without power.
    • The Kosciuszko national park has been evacuated, as have other nearby smaller communities such as Tumbarumba.
    • Between 3,000 and 4,000 people remain trapped in the town of Mallacoota, on Victoria’s eastern tip. Locals and tourists say food and water is running low, and police boats have been ferrying supplies into the town. HMAS Choules, and another smaller naval boat, have arrived off the coast of Mallacoota. About 500 people will be evacuated by sea tomorrow morning.
    • Late last night, police confirmed a woman feared missing at Conjola Park had been found safe. In total, nine people have died in bushfires across NSW and Victoria.
