Hello spiritual family in our little "virtual kingdom hall!"

I thought that perhaps we could begin a thread for prayer requests. I know many of us are going through tough things of all kinds, and a cousin of mine recently mentioned her prayer group.

I've personally experienced the power of prayer, and I know that when my family and I pray, we find that there is a lot more peace and ease in our life.

Let me know what you think. If you need prayer for something in your life right now, drop it here so we can pray for one another. Requests need not be detailed; Jehovah knows what we need.

I will begin: my sister and I recently lost our father, and in the midst of the grief and processing the loss, she has begun to open up to me again about spiritual things. There were some years when she and I were having great spiritual discussions, but she then began dating a man who wasn't spiritual at all and it felt like the doors that were open just slammed shut. Fast forward 5 years, and she has been participating in bedtime prayers with our family when she's visiting for a while. She has expressed more interest lately, and invited my Bible-based thoughts and ideas in conversation. Not only that, she recently invited me to explain my beliefs about death to her now-fiance, who responded positively and even said that he believes in God.

She told me last night that in her darkest moments, she has prayed.

I was a little in shock! For a long time she proclaimed herself an atheist, but admitted all those years ago when we were having good discussions that she no longer believed that she could KNOW there was no God.

My request is for prayers for my sister and her fiance, that they continue to open their minds to the truth of the scriptures and express their questions to my family and I. My sister means the world to me. Thank you all for any prayers you can send her/our way!

I recently lost my father in death this past August. He was 94 and lived a long life. But he left me a mess with a house and some land in Puerto Rico, which I have no desire to own. Had to hire lawyers and it's costing me a bit of money. and the transfer of ownership compacted with covid as government offices are run on a skeleton crew and most offices are closed to the public, everything has to be done via mail and so the delay for the transfer can take a year. Running back and forth to the island at a drop of a hat takes it toll on me financially.

Pray things go well with your sister!

    RR

RR and Joshuastone, prayers headed both of your ways...

RR, we were fortunate in that my father didn't have much of a "mess" to leave behind. He was living in a veterans home and had very few possessions, and no assets to pass on. I cannot imagine having to deal with out of country property! That sounds like a burden indeed.

Jstone, keeping the health issues in my thoughts and prayers. At a time like this, that is not easy to add...
