"Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, consider what sort of people you ought to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion," - 2 Pe 3:11

    2 Peter 3:11 BBE
"Seeing then that all these things are coming to such an end, what sort of persons is it right for you to be, in all holy behaviour and righteousness,"

I admit, it's always easier said than done.

If you want to be anonymous on the Internet, there are much better ways than resorting to boycott and depriving others of your company. There are simple ways like using your web navigator in anonymous mode to more sophisticated ones like having an antivirus software with the Internet Security set to max, using a VPN or even softwares like Cyberghost.

Endlessly fleeing robots ain't the solution at all....

Tant de temps, c'est un bon fève de te connaître

"Fève" means "fava bean", "so long" is better translated by "adieu". "Tant de temps" means nothing relevant in this context.

Here is what you said : So much time, it's a good fava bean to know you

Tan largo, es buen frijol para conocerte

Here is what you said : So long, it's a good (flageolet) bean in order to know you.

Too bad that you relied on chance, on Google and its robots, for your farewell billet.... my dear brother (and I haven't checked the other languages).

Yes, relying rather on our intelligence as God's creatures and on our Grand Creator for things to take place properly is a definitely a surer bet....

"People light a lamp and set it, not under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it shines on all those in the house." - Matt. 5:15

“A lamp is not brought out to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Is it not brought out to be put on a lampstand?" - Mark 4:21

If someone stole my identity through the computer they would be contacting me in a day or two offering me money to take it back, I assure you.

    NEVER UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ENEMY!

“It was the cryptic first sign of a cyberespionage and information-warfare campaign devised to disrupt the 2016 presidential election, the first such attempt by a foreign power in American history. What started as an information-gathering operation, intelligence officials believe, ultimately morphed into an effort to harm one candidate, Hillary Clinton, and tip the election to her opponent, Donald J. Trump.

An examination by The Times of the Russian operation — based on interviews with dozens of players targeted in the attack, intelligence officials who investigated it and Obama administration officials who deliberated over the best response — reveals a series of missed signals, slow responses and a continuing underestimation of the seriousness of the cyberattack.”

    The Yahoo Hack:
Yahoo suffers world's biggest hack affecting 1 billion users. December 14, 2016 7:41 PM

“But hackers also apparently stole passwords in both attacks. Technically, those passwords should be secure; Yahoo said they were scrambled twice — once by encryption and once by another technique called hashing. But hackers have become adept at cracking secured passwords by assembling huge dictionaries of similarly scrambled phrases and matching them against stolen password databases.”

    (Mt 13:25, 25:5; 1 Th 5:6) 36 robots information-gathering ? Every day, every hour? Why?

What is my name here? Enough said.

Does anybody here remember “2001 A Space Odyssey” ? Dave spoke to HAL 9000, the (Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic onboard computer) which eventually tried to take control of the space ship. A partial plot summary says:

“This movie is concerned with intelligence as the division between animal and human, then asks a question: what is the next division? Technology is treated as irrelevant to the quest--literally serving as mere vehicles for the human crew and as a shell for the immature HAL entity.” (IMBD)

HAL is capable of speech, speech recognition facial recognition, natural language processing, lip reading, art appreciation, interpreting emotional behaviours, automated reasoning, and playing chess. (Wikipedia article)

Recently, there have been advertisements for the “Amazon Echo” and “Google Home”, a semblance of HAL. Maybe. Maybe even better. One thing they (manufacturers) don’t tell buyers is the fact that these “robots” listen/record/gather information, while they are “on”. They also have the capability of voice recognition. ALL of everything you do and say is recorded, stored, and analyzed in the “cloud” without your permission. That information is also sold to other agencies and companies.

So, think about it! Are you OK with that? You have a spy right there in your home! “Ah, no big deal, I don’t have anything to hide. I’m an open book!”

As an aside; did you know that President Elect of the USA, Donald Trump is from God? It is in the scriptures.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” ( 1 Thes 4:15 KJV )

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” ( 1 Cor 15:52 KJV )

Also, did you know that there we computers in the days of Jesus Christ. Read these scriptures.

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, ‘This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!’” ( Mt 17:5 NASB )

And then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” (Mark 13:26 NWT)

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, . . .” ( Heb 12:1 NASB )

This last one is everyone’s information collected by the robots and stored in the cloud.

If Jehovah is for you who can belongingtojah against you?

There is no need to be parinoid for the children of God for he will protect us.

That's what bots are made for....

Even Robert's site is on the list (Ctrl + F, type Watchman; if you can't read French).

Guess why we aren't on it ? I know Robert was much into it; bots, keywords, tags, search engines and so on... so as to be the higher possible on the lists or result pages.

I even know a brother whose website is on the list. He is a learned person, not so much intelligent as he thinks he is. University degrees are just a proof that you have a certain level of knowledge (granted, which ascertains a certain level of intelligence) but people tend to get knowledge and intelligence/understanding mixed up. I know brothers who don't have his universitary degrees and who are more savvy that he is. Anyway.... Let Jehovah uses him as He sees it fit. He's a faithful brother anyway and that's what matters.... I owe him nothing and he owes me nothing either. It's just funny to see his website on the list.

So what ? Will it stop the Earth from turning around ?

Hacking existed even before computers did and it's not because we have heard more about it recently that the problem is all of a sudden more pregnant than it used to be in the past, at least in matters of security related to websites and forums. Tim is the webmaster of this forum and if you have questions to ask him about web security and those bots, we'll be glad to forward them to him. As far as I'm concerned, I think that he's been doing a great job so far, as well regarding the previous forums and software versions of them as he's doing now and if he told us lately that there's nothing to fear from the Yandex bots... then I see no reason to freak out unnecessarily about them. Concern should be more on how each and every one of us here stands in regards to web security (updated antivirus program, anti-malware software, being conservative regarding emails from John Does and links to unknown places) instead on focusing how the forum is managed and supposedly threatened.

Furthermore, all recent sign-in protocols (like ours here) have captcha fields which impede non-human attempts to sign in and each applicant to our forum must pass successfully one of the most terrible and secure tests ever.... an email discussion with Big Boss as for their intentions and motivations.... ;) Useless to insist on the fact that we're here not much bots-friendly... :p

As for Yahoo, it's notorious that their cyphering protocols are considered outdated since about 15 years ago and that anyone can waltz in their sites as they please.

Since the Bible says that Elijah is to come back soon, I hope that this excerpt won't make you freak out some more.... :p

    "*** w99 2/1 p. 30 “Jehovah” or “Yahweh”? ***
Consider a few examples of proper names found in the Bible that include a shortened form of God’s name. Jonathan, which appears as Yoh·na·thanʹ or Yehoh·na·thanʹ in the Hebrew Bible, means “Yaho or Yahowah has given,” says Professor Buchanan. The prophet Elijah’s name is ʼE·li·yahʹ or ʼE·li·yaʹhu in Hebrew. According to Professor Buchanan, the name means: “My God is Yahoo or Yahoo-wah.” Similarly, the Hebrew name for Jehoshaphat is Yehoh-sha·phatʹ, meaning “Yaho has judged.”"

Way back in my day, a yahoo is what was termed an “uncultivated or boorish person; lout; philistine; yokel, a coarse or brutish person. That’s what we called “crazy cowboys”, who lacked sense. As far as that so-called internet service, I warned my friends and family to not use them, back in 2005, because their system had been hacked. That was before they even found out themselves, or, at least admitted to themselves the truth of being hacked. They were irresponsible in not admitting and informing their users until this year.

So, they can truly be classified as Yahoos, in the old meaning coined by Jonathan Swift in his 1726 book known as Gulliver’s Travels.

Don’t be caught like the jailer mentioned at Acts 16:27. The Greek word used here is the root word for our English word hypnosis. “Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.” (Ro 13:11)

The real reason for robots. Here is something to think about. Is the internet and its use a "mark on the forhead"? This, along with Credit Cards, a "mark on the hand". Soon, you will not be able to buy, sell, or trade with out them.

Google now knows when you buy things — even off the internet
