I am adding new information to this subject, as I have taken a fresh look and have discovered some very fascinating information that helps further my understanding of the MOL. 2 Th 2:7 "True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who is right now acting as a restraint is out of the way." As mentioned in my first post of this thread, it seems quite likely the restrainer in 2Th is Satan himself, but what is interesting is that there are two events in scripture that can be taken as Satan being put out of the way. One in which he is cast out of heaven, and the second when he is abyssed. I had recently made a study of Rev 12 that outlines Satan had been cast out of heaven the moment Jesus returned to heaven at his ascension, and you can read that HERE. So therefore we know that his casting out of heaven can not be the moment he is out of the way in order for the MOL to be revealed, for his ousting was now 2000 years ago, and the day of Jehovah has not come as of yet. Therefore what we are actually looking at here is that second event when Satan is abyssed. Yes, that is correct, the MOL will not be revealed until after Satan is abyssed. Interesting huh? I will explain... I'm going to briefly touch base on events and the timeline of the end, but if you have a question as to why an event is in the order it is, please feel free to ask me to clarify. With that said, I am going to start off with a graph that includes two important events discussed in 2Th 2. Now these two events marked in boxes are specifically mentioned in 2Th 2 in these scriptures below; 2Th 2:1 "However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him." 2Th 2:3 "because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first." 2Th 2:2 "to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here." You will notice in the graph above that the day of Jehovah, and being gathered together of Christs remaining brothers to him both occur on the same day. Now to touch base on the day of Jehovah, scripture is quite clear, it is the very day Jehovah comes to destroy the evil doers, and to save those of his people. So therefore this moment is actually deep in the time of the end, rather then being at the beginning of the end. Then that begs the question, when are we to expect the MOL? When does this man set himself up in Gods temple? Those of us outside looking in have always assumed that man is sitting there now, and we were waiting for him to be revealed, but is this the case, does the chronology tell us this? The answer to that appears to be no... What this all comes down to is when Satan is abyssed, and what it appears is, Satan is abyssed just before Christ Jesus is crowned. Meaning, Satan is thrown out of heaven the moment Jesus begins ruling in the heavens, and then abyssed the moment Jesus begins ruling on earth. Rev 20:1,2 "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years." What's interesting about this is Rev 20 tells us that Satan is abyssed before Christ brothers are resurrected; Rev 20:4 "Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years." Christs brothers are resurrected the moment he is crowned, and this if 40 days before they ascend into the heavens. So what this means is a of couple things, first is that Satan is abyssed at least 75 days before the first day of the new world, and including missing Armageddon itself. Second, this means the MOL that sets himself up as a god in the temple of God, is not the current temple, but the one that is rebuilt in the time of the end, 69 weeks before our Lord is crowned. In fact what we are probably looking at is the disgusting thing that stands in a holy place. It appears that this man may be the connection between the Judas character, the son of destruction, and the KOTN who puts in place the disgusting thing. After all, since he is the lawless one, the man of sin, he would be supporting the 8th king, who sets him up in that place. It's that final moment as seen in Dan 3 when our brothers are given a choice, to worship that one who is set up, or to be killed... This chronology involves the entire Bible, and I know it's extremely complex. As well if I had placed every scriptural reference within it, this post would have gone one for ever. So if you would like me to expound more on a specific subject within, by all means reply and I will explain in more detail.
@Thinking I agree with you. Think about this tho, if someone would had come to you with this info while you had your 'org' hat on, what would you have said. I've shared some of my opinions with my wife mid or early 2016 and she said, without hesitation, 'I'd hate to divorce you if you went all apostate on me'. I was like 'huh?' I had just begun questioning some of our doctrine and wasn't even on 'questionable/apostate' sites.
So is this saying that the '144,000' will be resurrected after Armageddon? So then they would not play a part in Armageddon. I'm somewhat confused. I had the impression that the moment a member of the 144,000 died they were immediately with Christ and that they would play an important role come Armageddon.
According to the chronology that I have set forward, those dead of the 144k will be resurrected here to earth (as spirit beings) just like Jesus experienced, and will spend 40 days on earth before Jesus comes in the clouds to gather them. During this time there will still be some of the 144k still alive, and they will be transfigured the moment the others are resurrected. Then after 40 days they will all be raised to heaven when Christ comes in the clouds. This is also the moment Armageddon begins.
I gotta look that up. Either I've had my mind closed to that when reading the Bible or I missed it completely. That almost sounds 'rapturish'.
Well, the only part really about the "rapture" that Christendom believes, that hold true is, some will meet the Lord in the air when he appears in the clouds. 1Th 4:16,17 "because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord." Through a study of the fifth seal, and first resurrection, and it's relegation in chronology we find that some of Christs brothers are resurrected at the last trumpet, but they do not yet ascend into heaven. In fact when these ones are resurrected they are told to wait a little while, for some of their brothers still are about to be killed. Rev 6:11 "And a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little while longer, until the number was filled of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they had been."
Let me tell my understanding of this scripture Revelation 6:11. This part of the vision was shown to John right after the 4 horsemen and before the vision depicting obviously Armageddon. To me it seems logic that the vision of 4 horsemen overlap this vision when killed God's servants ask for how long yet. That means this happens during the 1260 days. And when it says that the slaughtered speak and ask for how long until the vengance? I take this metaforically. Those dead are said to rest a little while longer. That I take as they are metaforically told to stay dead a while longer until at least the 1260 days are ended, the time when the beast will persecute the saints. I count it logic that after the 2 witnesses are killed at the end of 42 months, when they are resurrected in the sight of eyewitnesses, only then the ressurection to heaven begins.
Hi everyone, hope you are all are well & good. It has come to my attention that someone has been proclaiming that the disgusting thing standing in the Holy place is in fact the Faithful & Discreet Slave/Governing Body. They are saying that it is of utmost importance that we return to a kingdom halls on the day of the memorial in April! Has anyone else heard of this too?
It makes so much sense now! Of course it's Satan! He is the safety harness that keeps the GB safely tucked in the driver's seat.
