    1. Ephesus (Rev 2:1–7)
    • Commendations:
      • Works, toil, patient endurance.
      • Cannot bear those who are evil.
      • Tested false apostles and exposed them.
    • Rebuke:
      • Abandoned the love you had at first.
    • Promise:
      • Tree of life to the one who conquers.
    2. Smyrna (Rev 2:8–11)
    • Commendations:
      • Endured tribulation and poverty (yet spiritually rich).
    • Rebuke:
      • None.
    • Warning/Prophecy:
      • Devil will throw some into prison; tribulation 10 days.
    • Promise:
      • Crown of life; not hurt by the second death.
    3. Pergamum (Rev 2:12–17)

      • Tolerates Jezebel, false prophetess.
      • Her teaching leads to sexual immorality and idolatry.
    • Warning:
      • Jezebel and her followers face great tribulation unless they repent.
    • Promise:
      • Authority over nations.
      • Morning star.
    5. Sardis (Rev 3:1–6)
    • Commendations:
      • None strong; only “a few” who haven’t soiled their garments.
    • Rebuke:
      • Reputation of being alive, but actually dead.
      • Works incomplete in God’s sight.
    • Promise:
      • White garments.
      • Name not blotted out of the book of life.
      • Confessed before the Father and angels.
    6. Philadelphia (Rev 3:7–13)
    • Commendations:
      • Kept Christ’s word.
      • Did not deny His name.
      • Kept His word about patient endurance.
    • Rebuke:
      • None.
    • Promise:
      • Open door no one can shut.
      • Kept from the hour of trial coming on the whole world.
      • Made a pillar in God’s temple.
      • Receive the name of God, the city, and Christ’s new name.
    7. Laodicea (Rev 3:14–22)
    • Commendations:
      • None.
    • Rebuke:
      • Lukewarm: neither hot nor cold.
      • Thinks it is rich, but actually wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, naked.
    • Counsel:
      • Buy refined gold, white garments, and eye salve from Christ.
      • Be zealous and repent.
    • Promise:
      • Christ will come in and dine with those who open the door.
      • The conqueror will sit with Him on His throne.
