You might want to get your Bibles out and read along with this post. The middle ages are depicted below when at that time the clay mixes with iron and the small horn of Dan 7 plucks up three horns of the ten. Notice the connection between Dan 8 and Dan 11 to help us understand where in the stream of time we are; Dan 8:25 "And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin." Dan 11:23 "And because of their alliance with him, he will carry on deception and rise up and become mighty by means of a little nation. During a time of security he will come into the richest parts of the province and do what his fathers and their fathers have not done." We have prophecies interwoven between the iron and the clay, and at times can be difficult to tell them apart. Although it appears in scripture Rome comes against the temple before the clay is mixed with iron, in the future end the clay will be part of the iron that comes against the Holy Covenant, and at that time part of the action. The rise of the small horn of Dan 7, the clay mixing with the iron. Dan 11:23 "And because of their alliance with him, he will carry on deception and rise up and become mighty by means of a little nation." Dan 8:24 "His power will become great, but not through his own power." In 70 CE this fierce beast comes against the Holy Place. This is the small horn of Dan 8 and the fourth beast of Dan 7, keep in mind the two small horns in Dan 7 & 8 are NOT the same identity. The destruction of the temple in 70 CE; Dan 11:22a "And the arms of the flood will be swept away on account of him, and they will be broken;" Christs death; Dan 11:22b "as will be the Leader of the covenant" The events between Dan 11:22 and 11:31 are the events between Dan 8:25a&b, so it looks like this; Dan 8:25 "And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin. (Dan 11:22-31 enters here)He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand." Then the "b" section of Dan 8:25 jumps us up to the future time of the end when this fourth beast comes against Christ Jesus at Armageddon. This shows that Rome in fact does survive to the end; Dan 8:25b "He will even stand up against the Prince of princes" Here we see the small horn of Dan 7 that comes from the fourth beast. It is this horn that apparently attempts to change laws in order to bring down Gods people in the future end times; Dan 7:25 "He will speak words against the Most High, and he will continually harass the holy ones of the Supreme One. He will intend to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time." Then it is the fourth beast itself that removes the constant feature and they are given into the hands of the small horn of Dan 7. These arms are no doubt a court of law of some kind.Dan 11:31 "And arms will stand up, proceeding from him; and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and remove the constant feature."We know from Dan 11 that there is much history after the small horn/clay mixes with iron, and these events occur over the nearly 2000 years since. I won't go into detail of every event here for space and read time, but suffice it to say both world wars are depicted before the constant feature is removed. As well the rise of the 7th king mentioned in Rev 17, notice below; Rev 17:11"And there are seven kings: Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet arrived; but when he does arrive, he must remain a short while." Dan 11:29 “At the time appointed he will return and come against the south. But this time will not be as it was before, 30 for the ships of Kit′tim will come against him, and he will be humbled." 146 BCE / Rome becomes the small horn of Dan 8 and as well the fourth beast in Dan 7. 70 CE / Horn of Dan 8:24 and the king of the north in Dan 11:22 comes against the temple, 325 CE / The clay mixes with iron and goes on to humiliate three kings in the middle ages. This is also the small horn of Dan 7.
My understanding of Daniels writing was meant for those of the last days. Those over the nation of Israel, are not Gods people. The prophecy the world claims was filled in 1948, (God people back in the promised land) was not fulfilled. Those are the people of the tribe of Judah, and the men in government, are not real Jews. The flag they fly over the land is not the star of David. David never had a star. His son Solomon, when he married Bath-Sheba was drawn into black magic by here What they call the star of David is from Egypt. It is the sign of Satan. There are carvings you can find of these all over the net. Before Gods people can return to the land, those there will have to be destroyed. Daniel may be talking about this?
Dan 8:20,21 “The two-horned ram that you saw stands for the kings of Me′di·a and Persia. The hairy male goat stands for the king of Greece;" We have to be careful assigning all prophecy to the time of the end. Dan 9:27 "And he will keep the covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week, he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease." The 70th week of Dan 9 began the day Jesus was baptized, fulfilling Jehovah's covenant for a Messiah to Israel. That covenant was to be kept in place for one week, or 7 years. Three and a half years later Jesus was cut off. Three and a half after this Cornelius was baptized allowing the gentiles to enter that covenant for a messiah. "Many" was used to denote Israel as a whole, and that covenant was for them up until Cornelius was baptized, at which point Israel became anyone who takes advantage of the sacrifice of the Messiah. The Jews, or physical nation of Israel today has nothing to do with prophecy. The book of Daniel covers the time period from the flood to the end of this system, and many events in between. Chapter 11 alone covers more then 2500 years of history.
I have always taken past prophesies as proof the bible is true. There are many things we can't prove, but since there are prophesies that have come true, we can trust the things we can't prove. If the prophesies were not there, or had not come true, I for one would be looking for God outside the bible. Before I knew the God of our bible, I knew there was a God. I could see the things on earth, and the universe at night...it did not make itself...I have always known there was a God. The scriptures just told me who he was. I still don't know his name? The Hebrews would not translate, "YHWH" for fear they would get it wrong. He told Moses his name was, "I am that I am." The world calls him Jehovah. They have put that name in the Bible, but in the scrolls it is YHWH, or Lord. When I pray, I call him, "YHWH, Creator of all things, Father of Jesus"...yes, even, "I am that I am." Sometimes I call him Father. I figure because I address him in Jesus name, he knows I'm talking to him. I think he calls me, "Dummy?" I can hear him every time I screw up...he tells the angels, "Don't bother me for the next hour, I'm watching my dummy show." LOL...I think that's the only reason he keeps me around.
It is quite likely just after the flood and before the tower of Babel when man had one language the name of God was one name to all people. After he confused the languages no doubt they all pronounced Gods name differently. Jehovah does not expect any more for us then to pronounce his name in our modern tongue. People put to much emphasis on this subject, while in this system we will never know how Adam originally pronounced Gods name, it doesn't matter. Jehovah himself is the one who confused the languages.
LOL...You're blaming God for confusing his name...lol...kind of like Adam saying after he sinned, "The women YOU gave me, she gave it to me." I was talking to a guy this past week, and he started telling me how bad Father was, "Your God kills people, starts wars, bla, bla, bla...." I told him God is not behind all this stuff, and I took him back to the Garden, and told him about the two seed you don't believe in...that he seemed to understand. If there was not two seed on this earth, than God would be guilty of all the human suffering, and death. That's what Satan wants...shift the blame onto Father. There are two seeds. The angels who came to earth had children, and they were not 100% human. That seed has mixed throughout the whole human family. Jesus took his followers inside away from the people, and told them about the wheat, and the tares...two seeds. I would never go back to a religion, and force myself to believe they ate a fruit, and God makes us age, and die because of what only two people did. Feeling of the parents do not transfer from parent to a child in the womb...DNA is not designed that way.
It has nothing to do with blame, it was Jehovah's will. Where do you read it's important to have the original pronunciation of his name?
Each of us has a name. You, and me. Jesus has a name. We are to make Fathers name known. Gods name is the only important name there is. YHWH does not translate from Hebrew, or Greek to Jehovah? His name is more central than our life. I don't have to read that it is important...I was born knowing that. I believe there are things not written, but are right with our God. My life has always been, "It is better to die, than to kill." That's not written. It's like falling in love with a women. Making love, having, and raising children, and one day you ask the women," Oh, by the way, what's you name?" Go out with a women a few times. Give her your best lines. Make her fall in love with you. On the third date, ask her, "What's your name?"
Yes what you say is true, but, their meaning stays the same. No one has translated YHWH into a meaning? My name means the same in any language.
You bet the meaning stays the same, but as we have said, the pronunciation can vary. What is important is the meaning.
It was Jehovah's will that his name be pronounced differently in different languages. He is the one who confused there speech at the tower of Babel. Although if man would have just listened to him and spread across the world, there would have been no need for Jehovah's actions. It's the meaning of his name that is important, not how it's pronounced.
