Isaiah 53 Written ~2700 years ago at a time when Israel's destruction by her neighboring nations was assured; Jerusalem razed no more than 100 year later, comes a prediction that a Hebrew individual would be the primary spiritual concept confronting mankind. A conduit for the generator of the universe to reveal himself through. Yet, according to Israel, this individual would not come at the seat of empire, or be obvious to the eyes of man as an overt history-shaping pontif. Quite the opposite (according to them). "And as for the arm of Jehovah, to whom has it been revealed?" The "arm" in reference to God's primary moving mechanism in human history, would come from Israel. Israel would be the nation to introduce God's "arm"; they had this "secret" revealed to them ~4200 years ago. Would this history-shaping mechanism be stately, "glorious", with a powerful physical presence, as many would assume? No! "He will come up like a twig, like a root out of parched land. No stately form does he have, nor any splendor; And when we see him, his appearance does not draw us to him." The prime mover would NOT be "stately", but from a parched land, poor and causing indifference. Yet, consider this prediction: "And Jehovah has caused the error of us all to meet up with him" Despite this individual being held as "no account" (dismissed), Jehovah God would "cause the error of us" humans to meet up with him. The one described as "plagued, stricken by God and afflicted" would be centerpiece in human history. Why would Israel make a prediction like this? Isn't it presumptuous to predict that a 'stricken and plagued' individual from Israel would take stage in human history so as to cause all of mankind to collide with him? Now consider the Hebrew man Jesus in light of this ancient prediction, which predates him by 700 years, who then went on to be "stricken and plagued" *and through that "strike" reset human history around himself. All of us have met up with him; and those who haven't yet, will! Kudos Israel, your predictions are quite precise!
