    Babel/Babylon/Babylon the Great

I am about to take you on a narrative journey that spans more than 4000 years of biblical prophecy. Within this narrative is evidence of a singular author who guides us in understanding events about to come upon this world. All things glory to the one true God Jehovah through our Lord Christ Jesus.

This story begins shortly after the Flood when mankind comes together against God's commands to boast in themselves.

"Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.” Gen 11:4

The builders of the tower wished to raise themselves to the heights of heaven in arrogantly making their names as equal to God.

This sounds familiar. Oh yes, Nebbucednezar had a dream about himself and his kingdom as a tree as high as heaven, while he himself boasts of his accomplishments without regard for the Lord.

"The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth." Dan 4:11

Can we remember why Babel and Babylon would wish to boast about themselves and raise their heights to the heavens? Yes, because the satan boasted to do just that.

"You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon." Ish 14:13

So in the narrative of Daniel 4, Nebbucednezar boasts arrogantly of his glory, might, and power.

"He said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” Dan 4:30

So Nebuchadnezzar boasts in himself and what he had built with his tree to the heavens.

However, in his vision, he sees a messenger coming down from heaven.

"In the visions I saw while lying in bed, I looked, and there before me was a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven." Dan 4:13

Interesting; If we go back to the tower of Babel, the exact same thing happens. The angels came down from heaven.

"But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building." Gen 11:5

And when they came down to inspect that tower and what mankind was doing, what did the angels do?

"Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city." Gen 11:7,8

Well, that's exactly what happened to Nebi as well. The angels came down and chopped down the tree and scattered its fruit, just as the Lord scattered mankind over the whole earth at the tower of Babel.

"He called in a loud voice: ‘Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches." Dan 4:14

Now here is something to pay attention to; The command was to have "seven times" pass over the tree of Daniel 4 until Nebi acknowledged the Most High.

"Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes." Dan 4:25

We are told that this vision is ultimately given to those "living."

"‘The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’" Dan 4:17

(More on this in a moment)

Now, let's take a look at Nebi's condition after he was cut down.

"Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him." Dan 4:16

Nebi here was given a mind of an animal and made to go on all fours eating like an ox, as his hair grew like eagle feathers and nails like claws of a bird.

"He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird." Dan 4:33

Now let me draw your attention to the lion in Dan 7 that represents Babylon and the head of Gold in Daniel 2. Have you ever noticed it is the healed state of Nebi's condition?

"The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it." Dan 7:4

The lion's wings, like an eagle, were plucked out, just like the hair of Nebi that looked like eagles feathers. The lion was lifted up from the ground, no longer on all fours like an ox eating the grass as Nebi was, but stands on two feet like a man again. And then the mind of a human was given the lion, no longer the mind of a beast that was given Nebi in Dan 4.

You see, the lion in Daniel 7 is the healed condition of the fatal blow to Babylon in chapter 4.

    Does this sound familiar?

"One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed." Rev 13:3

The first beast of Revelation 13 has a head with a fatal wound that was healed. And guess what this beast's mouth looks like.

"The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion." Rev 13:2

So the mouth of this beast is the lion. Why do you think that is? Because it boasts arrogantly just as Babel and Nebi of Babylon.

"The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven." Rev 13:5,6

Now comes in the seven times. I find it interesting that the little horn is spoken of boasting exactly like Babel and Babylon.

"This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully." Dan 7:8

(More on this in a moment)

Firstly, what does it mean exactly to speak boastfully and arrogantly? It means peaking like a dragon.

"Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon." Rev 13:11

Hmm, and how does the dragon speak?

"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie," 2Th 2:9

The lawless one comes in how the satan works. Okay...

"For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2Cor 11:13,14

Ah, there it is... At the tower of Babel, they thought they could come together, make a name for themselves, and build their tower to the heavens without God. And just as Babylon and Nebi were seen with all the animals under its branches, he made the mistake of thinking it was all from him. No, the Lord showed him that Jehovah puts over the kingdoms of the world who He wishes.

However, this story isn't over. The lawless one, the antichrist, wishes to do the very same thing. The false prophet of Rev 13 speaks like a dragon by coming as a wolf in sheep's clothing and an angel of light itself. Notice the horns of a lamb.

"Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon." Rev 13:11

So, what is that healed death-stroke of the first beast in Rev 13? Well, she's named for us in that very apocalypse.

"The name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth." Rev 17:5

The healing of Nebi from Dan 4 to Dan 7 is the rebirth of BTG in Revelation.

The little horns tree grows back; it grows right back to the heights of the heavens.

"It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. It set itself up to be as great as the commander of the army of the Lord; it took away the daily sacrifice from the Lord, and his sanctuary was thrown down." Dan 8:10,11

Yes, this 4000-year-old story of the dragon raising its throne to heaven through its narrative of an angel of light continues right up until the end.

"He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God." 2Th 2:4

And what do those seven times represent? Let's hypothesize for a moment, and let's look at Peter's words in 2Pt 3. He talks about our Lord's return and the end of this age and says, "a day is a year and a year a day to our Lord."

    So let's say,

    7 x 360 = 2520 days

A day for a year would be a solar year of 365 days. The Hebrews used the Lunar/solar that would cycle to match a full year.

So then 2520 years from Nebi's arrogant words to the tree growing again, and Babylon reborn would be,

    2139 BCE + 2520 Years = 380 CE

Hmm, interesting... Let's try something else,

    590 BCE + 2520 years = 1929 CE

Interesting... Before going into that in-depth, let's look at one more thing.

Do you remember the last element of the statue in Dan 2 that mixes with the iron?

"Its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay." Dan 2:33

Why baked clay? Oh yea, that's right. Let's go back to Babel:

"They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar." Gen 11:3

So, the baked clay that mixes with the iron in the feet and toes of the statue is Babylon being reborn, the tree regrowing, and the lion healing. Remember, the clay is the people's ideology; it's that conglomerate ideology against Jehovah's commands. And as they come together in the time of the end to boast arrogantly to become the head of gold again, Jehovah will cut them down, this time for the last time.

"And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay." Dan 2:43

So why do I point out the dates of 380 CE and 1929 CE?

What is the mystery of Babylon anyway?

"The name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth." Rev 17:5

“The cult that arose in Babylon
and spread its cult tentacles throughout the world
was trinitarian (Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop).
At first, this doctrine was merely humanism,
man making himself god. The first humanism trinity
of record to be setup and worshiped as gods,
was that of Nimrod, Simeramus, and Tammuz.
These are in the Old Testament in the Canaanite
language identified as Baal, Ashtoreth, and Tammuz.
At the dispersion of the people at the Tower of Babel,
this trinity doctrine of humanism was spread all over
the world. Each religion of all the pagan religions
    held two common traits: 1.) A trinity of gods and;
2.) These were in a form of human gods.”

    By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor

“From ancient time Mystery Babylon has tried
to make God what he is not – A Trinity.”
    -Jesus Messieh Fellowship
    The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan
    By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor

“Long ago – right after the Flood, a man named Nimrod
emerged on the scene of history. His name means
“let us rebel”. He led the founding of the first
great civilization – Babylon…He led them to rebel
against God. He had tremendous power, so much that he
became a god in the eyes of the people. When he died,
his wife, Semiramis, recognized that without him she
might loose power herself, so she devised a clever plan.
Semiramis was pregnant. She told everyone that the child
in her womb was none other than Nimrod being reborn.
This was the beginning of the greatest perversion…
the concept of father/son deity, the very first
incomprehensible divine trinity (the unexplainable mystery)…”

the Babylonian Connection; By Errol Hale

So the mystery Babylon is that origin of the trinity and the mother of prostitutes, in that of false worship against our Lord's bride, that woman by which He brings about His will.

In the year 380 CE Rome adopted the Nicean Creeds trinitarian based Christianity as its national religion, mixing the baked clay bricks with the iron of Rome. That tree had once again begun to grow, that tower, and that throne of the dragon reaching heaven once again.

2520 years before this was the year 2139 BCE, and right at the moment, our Lord confused the languages at the tower of Babel. Seven times after their arrogant boasting at that tower, their trinitarian mystery religion was again established in 380 CE in the Roman Catholic age.

How about 1929 CE? Well, that was the year of the Lateran Treaty. The Catholic Church agreed with Italy to establish the Holy See in answering the "Roman Question."

2520 years before this was 590 BCE and right in the middle of Nebi's rule when he would have boasted about all "he" had accomplished. Ultimately encircling and laying siege to Jerusalem.

Am I saying that the dates I present here are facts? No, all I can say is the start of each seven times are within the period known to be when those events occurred. However, I can say for sure that this is precisely what will happen in the time of the end.

If you've read my book The Final Kingdom available HERE, then you'll know that in the chronology of the time of the end, there are seven times from the beginning of the end when the little horn boasts with its arrogant words, until our Lord appears in the clouds. When then indeed, those alive will know who Jehovah sets up over His kingdom!

Is this evidence of our Lord's hand? One must decide on their own... I am merely a servant and present what I know to be true through my responsibilities before Him. It's up to you to test these matters for yourself.

One thing's for sure: In the time of the end, Babylon the Great will be returned to the land from which she came; that land of Shinar, the original location of the tower!

"As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there." Gen 11:2

"Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are they taking the basket?” He said to me, “To the land of Shinar, to build a house for it. And when this is prepared, they will set the basket down there on its base.” Zech 5:10,11 (ESV)

    All love...

    So then,

We have the boastful words at the tower when the dragon attempts to raise its throne to heaven. Then we have Nebi surrounding Jerusalem in 590 BCE on Asara B Tivet.

Then beginning the end, we have the little horn surrounding Jerusalem with its boastful words on Asara B Tivet.

The boasting is antichrist coming as an angel of light to deceive the world to bring about its tower once again. The dragons attempt to raise its throne to heaven in a one-world conglomerate announcing to bring peace to the world, without any mention of our Lord's kingdom.

The mark of the beast will be directed toward religions to accept membership into this conglomerate organizational arrangement that's wording will violate true Christian faith to continue preaching.
