Reading Joshua's post I think I'll switch my thinking to something more inline with what he has explained; it's far more detailed and accounts for moments in scriptural time mine doesn't!

It also invalidates the "justice" quandary of second death for those marked, as it's not against the world but believers.

Maybe much of this will be symbolic and "hidden" from most people; ... which we can find in the pattern of Israel's example, the dealings of prophecy in the Old Testament are primarily one worldly nation-state against Jehovah's people, and then Jehovah judging that nation-state, while the rest of the "nations" were ignorant to these events.

On top of which, and this gets to some of your questions, it places us in a harder situation (IMO) as we'll be thought of as the worst sort of fools, according to the world; the same situation Jesus endured. As opposed to "taking a stand" against an overtly oppressive "beast", we're marginalized and disregarded.

Thanks single cell....I do agree the answers are In The past with the Isralites etc....it's in the patterns layed out for us....and I have absolutely no doubt...that we are going to look like the biggest fools in man kinds history for standing firm in our worship to Jehovah...so foolish that many will give way....and that's going to be hard..

I believe this will also be litteral, according to the pattern from the past.
Also the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden was litteral. In the same way the mark of the beast will be a tangible test.

This happens shortly before the battle at Armageddon. Again I believe it litteraly.

If you are awake you will not have to even be a part of any RFID chip or whatever. Jehovah has promised the angel of Philadelphia that he will "keep you from the hour of test". That would of course also include those who are a part of Philadelphia.

But in order to do that you would have to understand who the angels of the Congregations of Laodicea and Philadelphia are. You and the others on this board have absolutely no idea who they are and if they even exist at this time. Certainly, you could not learn anything from me as I am just a worshiper of a Golden Calf. Thinking, they judged themselves when they invited Satan into their temple and when they were caught they decided to act like all unrepentant ones act. They denied any wrongdoing and blamed the whole thing on the "opposers". It's OK that you stay with the Watchtower for now, but when Jesus calls all his people out of Babylon (which the Watchtower is also in) you better get out as fast as you can. Or, you can remain in the old true church of God like the stubborn Jews did. It's your choice, but I would hope that you would wake up from your slumber and answer that call. If you decide to stay in the bundle of weeds, I will visit you in the prison of Gehenna. If you do decide to leave at the right time I will look for you in the Kingdom of God and we will have a laugh together.

By the way, what is Laodicea and what is Philadelphia and what are the other angels of the congregations of Ephesus to Thyatira? Do you know and is it important to know these things?Can you really build a chronology without understanding who they are?
