Maybe we'll let the old behemoth die over the next month, and pick this up afterwards, but I'll just make my first post saying hello to my brothers and sisters!

Here is one of my favorite scriptures:

For it is written: “I will make the wisdom of the wise [men] perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual [men] I will shove aside.â€￾Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the debater of this system of things? Did not God make the wisdom of the world foolish? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not get to know God, God saw good through the foolishness of what is preached to save those believing.

For both the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks look for wisdom;23but we preach Christ impaled, to the Jews a cause for stumbling but to the nations foolishness; however, to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because a foolish thing of God is wiser than men, and a weak thing of God is stronger than men.

    1 Corinthians 1:19-25

From what I understand, running a discussion board can be a lot of work. I can't say I blame Robert; I would think he would prefer to concentrate on his other websites. At any rate, I think we can commend him for all of his hard work.

But, you know in a way it's kinda refreshing starting a new... The work and finances we take on in conjunction with our faith in Jehovah, so I'd like to think in the face of anything we will do his will, and I believe many believe we will build here a place where those now, and even in the time of the end can find a safe haven and answers.

want to take the time to thank those who have opted to take on the responsibility of "overseeing" the new forum. May Jehovah and Christ Jesus bless the efforts to help strengthen , build , and provide a safe haven for growth in every area of truth...and continue to provide the bonds of brotherly affection regardless of some varying differences in sight...when we all sit at a table together and the cornucopia is the center of attention what we see can vary from the angle of view ...even if we are all looking at the same center...thank you for allowing me entry and I hope to provide a perspective that will increase your love of the truth...as I said in the earlier forum . I will not be teaching ...more likely asking questions (ok so I have no husband at home , not for lack of being asked.. ok thats humor but true) ..I never joined the MS school as I find it hard to even talk to those I don't know well..but that has not been a problem with the pen ...so Hello ..and someone walk me thru the avatar thingy , as its not letting me alter my appearance ...

Go to "settings" at the top right of the screen, then scroll down on the left hand side and click on "Edit Avatar" then you should have two options, one to link a photo from a place on the internet like photobucket, or under that you can upload a photo straight from your computer. If you have any error messages please post them... :)

  11. Hello it's me!

    Hi All:

Just a short note to say that this is me under my new user name which is what I actually go by in real life. You would know me by uglyandthin. As you can see by the new avitar which is actually me, I only lied about the thin part. Looking forward to discussing Bible topics with everyone. As you know already, I have contrary understandings of the scriptures than most on this board. This has come from an avid study of the scriptures over the last 37 years of my life, actually my entire "adult" life. I respect the beliefs and understandings of everyone else, even when they are in opposition to my own. I never take offense and I try my best never to be annoyed by others comments and I can promise you I will never argue on the forum. I may support my position with scriptures but if you don't see it that way, that is OK with me.

I was a Jehovah's Witness for about 30 years from spring of 1976 to July 2006 when I disassociated myself over the U.N. debacle and the Societies unwavering postion on the child molestation issue. I was an Elder in the congregation and have sat on committees of suspected and confessed child molesters and I have read every letter that the Society has written to the bodies of Elders from the 1980's thru when I left, so I am well adquainted with the Societies position in this regard. Perhaps their lawyers have softened that position in recent years but it's not because they are repentant, it is for purely financial reasons. I don't think they will ever repent for their fornication with Satan in their joining the U.N. and being a public relations machine for the U.N. for at least 10 years, probably more. Robert K has done a fine job in documenting their errors and they have done almost as good a job covering it up, don't you think? If you think I am wrong in my opinion, say so. I am a big boy and have been wearing big boy pants for a while now and you won't hurt my feelings. We don't necessarily have to agree on everything or anything to at least be respectful of others.

Here's to a great time discussing God's Word with our brothers and sisters, although it is sometimes hard to tell gender on the discussion boards, at least it is for me!

    Hello everyone!

    Hello everyone!

Sorry it took me so long, had a couple of very busy days. Glad to be here and onboard this train.

I look forward to being with you in this discussion board. "There are 'friends' who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother", says Proverbs 18:20 (NLT) Let us then be friends that stick like brothers, instead of friends who destroy each other with words, even if sometimes we have some ardent discussions on this board. You only have known me for a few months now, but I have enjoyed enormously to have met you. I'm on a spiritual journey and who knows where it will end. But I'm loving the ride :)

May Jehovah bless you all and thank you to those who took it upon themselves to create this haven for us.

    Eden

"By iron, iron itself is sharpened. So one man sharpens the face of another." (Prov 27:17)

You know, its our conversations and interchange that help us grow in knowledge and strive for understanding. As with me I always consider all of this is for future events, for one day on a grander scale the world will need us, especial our brothers who are lost after the fall of the Constant Feature.

Just like a new house, lets put our pics on the walls, place the furniture where we want and invite the friends to make this a home... :D

    Hello folks, guess who?

Yes it's the same old me, perhaps a bit wiser now, perhaps not.:D

But still searching for that elusive butterfly call "truth", and maybe just maybe I'm coming close to grabbing hold of it.

Phew! what a journey I have been on.

Anyway I'm back on-board and girded up and ready for action.

Welcome back home, my dear brother ! I'm very happy that you joined us. I just read quickly one of your blogs about the truth and I liked what you wrote, I'll read it more thoroughly tomorrow because I don't have the time right now.

Ready for action ? Bring it on !!! ;) :p
