Animal reactions to mirror reflections. The chimpanzees seemed to have figured out what was going on - then it became the local attraction. I've seen my cat try to look behind mirrors, looking for the "other cat."

Is this cat getting high on catnip? Or is he cracking a joke? ("Did you hear the one about".........) https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/f8/08/60/f80860015927b87d14c9595feb2a156c.jpg

Curl my hair! I can see that Roger has been working out and exercising but I have to wonder: is Vegemite on his menu? (Vegemite has loads of Vitamin B.)

I like those inter-species connections! When our Chow-Chow and her next-door neighbor Mendy (a Boxer) get together they would always play/fight, then they would chill and Nala (our Chow) would gently gnaw on Mendy's legs, as they look like chicken legs, hah. Mendy would "YIPE!" if Nala got too antzy! I've always liked this shot of Skippy, I think it's from Kangaroo Island:

I visited someone on their farm recently - they showed me their horse. The family members rode the horse but it was getting a little energetic at times. They asked me to observe the horse's behaviour. There was a youngster who has to walk with crutches at the moment. When it was her turn to ride, the horse stood absolutely still. The horse seemed to understand that this person was having a little trouble and that it needed to stand still while she was helped on. It walked calmly around the yard.
