I would like to introduce to The forum a friend of mine which I have known for about 30 years. He recently decided to serve Jehovah God and the Lord Jesus Christ and he wants to become a preacher.

Throughout my life I've went to church and I've always prayed to God and I've always done it in Jesus name. Now there's no doubt in my mind that God heard me when I prayed. But as I grew, I was taught by a man that if you want answers call God by his name. It took me many years to come to the point to where I would actually do that, but once I began to pray to Jehovah in the name of Jesus Christ answers began to follow suit and changes began to take place in my life. Now to anyone who thinks that this is a hoax or just an old wives tale or whatever they may feel it to be, if you feel it's anything other than true, my advice is try it for yourself. It works! There's no doubt about it! The name of Jesus is a stronghold, the name of Jehovah is a fortress. And until I began to realize that one without the other was incomplete i seen no real results. But as I sat in prison in the state of Georgia back in 2017, I began to pray to Jehovah and ask him to help me to be released from prison. I was looking at a 40-year sentence to serve 20. Jehovah heard my prayers and he brought me out of that prison cell in 5 years with a reduced sentence thanks to a God-fearing man who also taught me to pray to Jehovah by paying for a lawyer who was able to pull off what I felt was the impossible. Now I messed up when I got out and I began to mess around with drugs as a way of escape from fear, anxiety, stress, depression and just rejection in general. I wound up going back to prison and as I was in the diagnostic part of prison I cried out to God and I said Jehovah I surrender it all! I give into your will, help me to be the man you called me to be in Jesus name. I spent 3 years and 4 months in prison. I had a few lapses during that time with drugs, but through the whole thing I found redemption and freedom in surrender. I began to witness to everyone that would listen to me, fearlessly speaking the name of Jehovah and Jesus Christ. God delivered me from all drug addiction and from all desire to use. He also used me mightily in witnessing to people about the Word of God, the power of God and the name of God. I've been out now for going on 3 months. I still go to church. I still witness to people. I still pray and do my devotions daily and I still have no desire for drugs or alcohol. Praise be to God! Again, anyone who thinks that calling upon the name of God literally is just something that the Bible suggests or thinks that it's just something that people use as a fantasy or think that it's just a tall tale. Try it yourself. See if the results don't speak for themselves. If they don't then by all means I'm here and you can put it in my ear with all the cut down you want. I speak that boldly because I know that the opposite is going to be the case. If you come to me speaking the cut Downs, I'm going to know you didn't really try it and you're just angry at God. And as long as your angry at God, you're never going to be happy with yourself and you can never love anyone else.

I am very touched, brother, by your bearing witness about what Jehovah and Jesus have done for you - you have broken through the loop, and been granted the impossible, because, 'who the Son is no one knows but the Father; and who the Father is, no one knows but the Son, and he to whom the Son is willing to reveal Him.' Lu 10:22

That is so true; some people are granted to hate sin - or at least the bad consequences of it - and the fact that they were born in it without being asked, and against their will - hence our alienation form God and hating of Him, until . . . He reveals Jesus to us, and reconciles us to Himself. Joh 6:44; 2 Co 5:18,19; Ro 3:25

Thank you for the wonderful replies. I'm touched that so many have found acceptance in their heart and were able to encourage me as I woke my faith journey and I will continue to post and preach. But most of all I will continue to live out that which Jehovah God has called me to do. And I pray that one of these days there will be many more come to believe in the name of Jesus in the name of Jehovah and the power of His holy spirit. Because without God this world is dead. We already know the outcome I along with the apostle. John say even so come soon Lord Jesus Christ because this world is not getting any better and the day of God's breath is near at hand. So with Jonah we should be reaching out to this world right now. Preaching repentance because if we don't this world is going to be destroyed just as God was bound to destroy Nineveh if they did not repent. Sadly there will be more who choose not to repent today than there was ever in past generations because we are the last days and we are the last day saints and we should be praising God Jehovah for it because we were called out of darkness into His marvelous light. That is a privilege my brothers. Let us go and do what Jesus commissioned preaching repentance to the Lost and making disciples of all Nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost

 

My brothers, I'm not one to believe in coincidence, so as I post this, it is with excitement of confirmation that the Holy Spirit has spoken to me of my duties. I went to read my daily devotional this evening and sure enough the verse it took me to was 2. Timothy chapter 4:2-5 which speaks of preach the word at all times. Me instant in season and out of season, and goes on to tell you to do the work of an evangelist and make full proof of your ministry! And it speaks of a generation that would have itching ears and not accepting the truths of the gospel. My brothers, we are in that generation now and I will Make full proof of my ministry to this world, though dark it may be I must be a bright light shining as a beacon of Hope because this is the calling that Jehovah God has put upon me and my prayer is that he would use me to his full extent and Glory. And I asked you to pray for me that I would stand firm, not wavering in faith and always speak the words that Jehovah God gives me by his Holy Ghost power in Jesus name! Hallelujah for confirmation but even more than that hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb of God and for the love of Christ which dwells in me and which has saved me from my sinful nature. Amen

 

I view the good news about Jesus as a 'social justice' issue - the real social justice issue - to counter Satan's 'angel of light' agenda, which is the mystery of lawlessness that manifests today as wokeness.

How can God be righteous when permitting suffering and evil in the world, while having the power to stop it?

How can a God like that be trusted and respected?

How is it just for Him to punish us in consequence of someone else's sin?

Well, that's what Jesus died for, and in whose blood Jehovah took responsibility for all the evil He permitted.

This is the good news that saves those believing.

Yes, Jehovah God does allow evil in the world. The Bible tells us that God created all things, even the wicked for the day of destruction just because he allows. It does not mean that he likes it. He allows it so that free will can take place. We choose whether we trust him to have a better plan and a perfect outcome for us or to turn against him and begin to hate him because this happened and we feel it shouldn't have remember. All the ways of the Lord are just and right and his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts, but to those who love him and keep his commandments in obedience he has a perfect plan that through that pain is being brought to fruition. We can't say how can a loving God allow this or that we must say God allows it because it brings forth his perfect will and plan for us for his glory and in Jesus name

 

Yes, 'For not out of His own heart has He afflicted or does He grieve the sons of men.' La 3:33

Quote Jehovah: "Even yet [Job] is holding fast his integrity, although you incite me against him to swallow him up without cause." Job 2:3

Agreed; and yet no one should have accused Jehovah and us of self-serving motives. Job 1:9

I feel sorry for Jehovah being put into a position of having to defend His integrity - actually, that is our job, as former enemies of His, to be Jehovah's righteousness by our faith in Jesus, 2 Co 5:21

Right, Jesus is the solution to the problem that most people don't want to know they have; hence God allows things to nudge them in the right direction, without infringing on their free will; if only people knew Him, and what He has in store for them, they would be on their knees begging Him to twist their arm - make me willing to be made willing. 1 Co 2:9

I'm another person that was dumb when I was younger I went to a Kingdom Hall most of my younger life and they kept telling me don't join up with the world it'll be nothing but trouble.

But when you're young you don't listen to nobody. So I went out there and I did what I wanted to do and I got involved in drugs and in every bad thing you could possibly imagine getting involved in.

And all the good things that my parents and my grandparents had laid up for me it disappeared up in smoke.

I could have started off life in good shape with a fully paid off house a nice car motorcycle nice furniture a little bank account and a good job.

If I had just listened to the people at the Kingdom Hall.


You know the song because I got high because I got high because I got high!

I don't know why they call it getting high because you might think that you're high but every time you use drugs you get a little lower a little less money a little less health a little less spirituality.

You come closer and closer to the day when the police have to rescue you by arresting you and taking you off the street and putting you in a jail cell.

Because if they don't you'll wind up killing yourself or somebody else in your ignorance and in your disease.

So I can definitely identify with brother Rowland's testimony.

I've been there and I've done that. And I can identify with the feeling. Oh why oh why did I not listen?

Well every last one of us that have done it we have bought ourselves a valuable lesson.

We know that the devil owns a really cool looking flashy nightclub.

And he serves free hors d'oeuvres and gives you your first drink for free.

But by 1:00 in the morning you're stupid drunk.

And about that time some thug comes and slugs you in your head. And you wake up in the morning chained to the oars on a boat to China! That's literally where the story of Shanghai comes from!

People would get you high and get you drunk and show you a good time and when you were stupid high and drunk they sluggy in the head and you'd wake up a slave on a slave ship.

That's a perfect example of how the devil works.

 

Yes, this life is for learning in preparation for the real life God has in store for us; otherwise there would be no point to learning anything; but we do learn, improve and benefit already in the here and now; hence, as Paul says, he accounts everything in this life - what we have and could have had - as a lot of rubbish in exchange for the knowledge of Christ.

My brothers have me in your prayers as I do have you in mine we are none above the fall and earlier I did fall not really falling as some would consider a fall but a stumble rather I slipped and allowed the tempter to cause me to sin but praise be to God I have forgiveness through Christ Jesus my Lord this just proves that our sanctification process is that which proves our salvation and it doesn't end until the day we die because from now to eternity we will continue to be tempted and we will continue to fall from time to time into that temptation don't let this worry you and cause you to quit running the race the only way you don't win is to quit running and the devil knows that and that's what he wants so when you fall don't let it define you and defeat you let it strengthen you and teach you get back up ask forgiveness and move on Jesus name this is not just for me and for you as believers but it's also for those who want to be changed the future converts from sin to righteousness they can't get up unless they ask forgiveness and they are in a fallen state that has been since birth because they have never asked Jesus into their heart but as soon as they do they will be lifted up if they mean it and believe it but that devil will come just like he does to us all and push them to their limits and there will be times when they give into the temptation this doesn't make us any less Christian this makes us all the more human and all the more human we can show ourselves all the more powerful we can show the love of God to this world as a testimony to show them we are no better than they are we just have something they don't it's called sacrificial love agape love that comes straight from Jehovah our father and God and we can all achieve it receive it believe it and live in it and when we die we will rise again and we will have a perfect body glorified just as Christ body is let us share this with the world and use are victories and are stumbles as tools to witness to win souls for Jehovah's Kingdom in Jesus name amen

 

Well I can tell you I fell but there's a difference between a wicked man and a righteous man. A wicked man wallows in his past and in his sin.

A righteous man puts his past behind him and hurries forward at top speed to do what is good and to keep doing what is good for the rest of his life.
He is in sure expectation of his calling to be with Jesus Christ.

He doesn't dwell on where that calling is if he believes that he's called to serve God on Earth so be it if he believes that he's called to serve God in the heavens so be it.

Me I don't know where I'm called to serve God for all eternity I just know that I'm called to serve God!

So wherever it's at whatever Jesus says to do that's what I'm going to do I made up my mind I'm going to keep on doing the best I can do for Jehovah for Jesus Christ till the end of my life on this Earth.

And then when I wake up in the new body whatever Jesus says goes!

 

Amen. The God I serve knows only how to prosper those who truly trust in him. But if we're looking back at our past and concerned about our future, we're sure we don't truly trust in him. We've all been guilty of this attitude and mindset at one point or another. But the good news is there is transforming Grace through Christ, our Lord in Jesus main sure that we was able to have access to our father, God Jehovah in heaven before he left this Earth. In fact, that's exactly why he left this Earth. He came to live an example and to die a substitutionary death on our behalf. He rose from the grave on the third day to prove to us that there is a newness of life through Jehovah, our Father and God. But we must believe that he can and will do all that he says till we fully put our faith in him real walking half-heartedly James says it best double minded. Man is unstable and all his ways. As you have said. Let us forget our past where we were wicked and let us live in the hearing now as forgiving children of God and let us look for the future of Hope which is Eternal Glory in Paradise with the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. We are no longer wicked men walking in wickedness. We are now redeemed walking in a newness of life and looking for ward to that very eternal hope!
