Love

Love is not a windy thing,
It tells no empty lies,
It cannot be to one revealed,
And others a disguise;
For love unveils duplicity
Of hearts that were deceived,
Exposing insincerity
To all confused and grieved,

For there is so much more to love
Than what you feel inside,
And love succeeds when feelings fail
To change the evening tide
Of all deceptive passions of
A crooked heart within,
That we can never come to know
With motives that are dim,

For love is not just for the blind,
Its light will guide our way,
To show us what we left behind,
And all the ways we stray,
So that we’ll walk in ways above,
And leave behind regret,
For there is so much more to love
Than what our hearts forget,

And since love lives as kindness gives
To all enduring things,
It must surpass both fear and hate
Through endless sufferings,
But it will cease to shine at all
Upon what they denied,
When all the world comes crashing down
On those whose hearts had lied;

So search your heart, all humankind,
Walk not the ways of pain,
And crave for all that God can give,
And hate the wicked gain,
For what is love, but loyalty,
A beacon in the night
To guide you through the stormy seas,
While keeping you in sight,

And trust that it will come to you,
When you feel all alone,
And when you yearn for tenderness,
And deep within you groan,
And all your strength has fled from you
That He will bring you home.

TRUTH

I intend to share the exquisite work and talent of another
this thread is devoted to the Grace given our Lord for
the planting of seeds ...please bare with me I have learned
so much here , but just want to share "the simple things"

TRUTH

Forsooth! O truth—you barren thing!
Too distant was your deadly ring,
You reasoned not, nor did you rhyme,
But simply anchored deep in time,
While winds of myth brought billowed sail,
To tell us yet another tale
Of wishful treasures, there to tease
All hunters of the pillaged seas,
Who bound themselves to nets they cast
Into uncharted oceans past,
Where legends, tethered to the wind
Tell tales that time and truth rescind,
Wherein will come the dreaded fate
To all who saw the dawn too late,
And there they heard your truthful ring
That could have brought a kinder sting.

WAKE UP WORLD

WAKE UP WORLD
by Smoldering Wick ...

Awake I am with morning dew, when sleep has fled the night,
For I am weary of this world that never gained its sight,
Of those who died for we who live, while seeing clear as day,
Here in the twilight of my years as everything turns bright,

For there is no equality—success is just a lie
We use to swindle, cheat and steal what we would never buy,
While taught the hope of enterprise by men of fleeting schemes
We darken to a rising sun, the truth none can deny;

For high above, a silent one, sees all our wicked pride,
His shadow passes mountaintop to sea of rising tide,
Wherein the bitterness of hate he hears our children cry,
While we would bless the ones who say that we would never lie;

So give your ear to what you hear, you preachers of this world,
And you who govern and deploy with missiles that you hurled,
Who bring tears to the innocent, a plight you can’t ignore,
While waving all your victory flags, your prideful acts unfurled;

Yes, take to heart you twisted man, who strives to build his fame,
There still exists the ancient code built in the human frame,
It is the code of purity conflicted now with lies,
Ensnaring us as hapless beasts, who cannot take the blame;

For we were molded from an earth that loves and gives us life
And shows us all its pasturelands of beauty free from strife,
Instead we strive to conquer all, not knowing what it yields
And we have traded all we have to buy our useless shields;

So wake up, world—admit the greed for things that cause distress,
And cease to sleep throughout the night with all you won’t confess,
For you must know deep in your hearts that there is just one truth,
The purity we traded for a falsehood so uncouth.

THE INFINITE TRUTH

THE INFINITE TRUTH

Our world is but a jigsaw
Its puzzle-piece the sky
Which seems to us a gaping flaw
That knows no human eye

For we can never be complete
By searching emptiness
Beyond the heaven’s vast elite
Where only God can bless

Because we are but flesh and blood
With yearnings of the soul
We cannot see beyond the mud
Nor hear the bells that toll

The only words that set us free
From all that tears apart
Are those that cause us rise to be
The children of His heart

INCURABLE

She spent her life within a maze
.......Of complicated lies,
A winding trail for all her days
.......Of smothered family ties;
How could she know that hatred sown
.......Was grown from madness grim?
Why should she reap it all alone
.......From such an evil whim?
“A troubled soul,â€￾ my heart did speak,
.......When she confessed to me;
“They stole within my innocence,
.......And left this toxic sea
That came with hatred’s pestilence
.......And all its legacy,
And all I have is spitefulness
....With so much treachery.â€￾
It is the spear of jealousy,
.....From that the sinner reaps
.....Its poison of complicity
..From where the venom seeps,
To feed the guilt of painful strife,
.......That terrorize the soul,
While with her lips deprived of life,
..She makes the graveyards full;
For deep within the beast will come,
....A thousand times a day,
And all the foolish with their sum
......Cannot push it away,
For come they will, to take they thought,
......What she had promised them,
Though windless was that sea they sought
......To bare her guarded gem,
..While little voices locked away,
.....Will sing her childish songs,
And there will come that distant drum
.......From depths so far below,
To warn you that when stormwinds come
.......There is no place to go.

Ezekiel 34

(Ezekiel 34)

Woe to shepherds hard of heart, who have no ear to hear
The bleatings of those torn apart by they who have no fear,

“As I do live,†Jehovah says, “You shepherds of the pit,
So much you owe in debt to me, for beatings you permit,â€

“For I will hold accountable your hate for tenderness,
Since better was the hired hand, than you for heartlessness,â€

“Because you scorned all whom I loved, imposing wicked rule,
Your kingdom with my name attached is just that evil tool,â€

“For you have never answered me, awaiting my command,
Instead you starved my faithful sheep that graze upon my land,â€

“Where you did build an army strong that looked so kind and meek
While fleecing all who trusted you, the wounded and the weak,â€

“Upon my name you added oaths and vows that they should trust.
And slandered me for honour due to satisfy your lust.â€

“While to the world you look so pure, your wicked heart is sown
With arrogance to bribe and scheme for what you do not own,â€

“So hear me out you fattened ones, and flocks of ram and ewe,
For I will search to find my sheep, and teach them all that’s true,â€

“Within a richer pastureland, where you once fed your rams,
No more to drive away my sheep, nor silence all my lambs.â€

RULING WITHOUT US

RULING WITHOUT US

(1COR 4:8-13)

Have all those appointed and raised up in rank,
Become such as princes to rule?
Do we the less noble of file and of flank,
Need teachings as children at school?

For just as so many rise onto their throne,
Provided by men for the task,
Is there not just one who rules all alone
With a name above others we ask?

We ask not as foes of the torturous stake,
For we know that a Kingdom is here,
And worry that you have for granted might take
Beyond what was written so clear;

Now unless what was spoken is not what we heard,
Or saw what was visioned beyond,
Is it we who are poor, yet still undeterred,
By visions of which you are fond?

So why need we ask you beyond what was written,
To prove you be wise or be fool?
Or whether through Christ by the spirit were smitten,
To grow to be kindly, or cruel?

For many were lost of the lambs that were suckling,
And kids that were wobbling to walk,
Yet you made them bear your armour and buckling,
Which adds too much weight to the flock;

We speak words of Paul, and of James and Jude too,
Ezekiel, Isaiah—the rest,
Who waited as well for that which is true,
While you have presumed you were best,

And brought your own glory though you might deny,
That judgment is coming to you,
While you are refining beyond Malachi,
Insisting that falsehood is true.

A SNARE AND A RACKET

This will lose it's form but you can see the original at Paradise Cafe

A SNARE AND A RACKET

Religion is truly a snare and a racket,
Dividing us all into capsule and bracket,
It wields too much power,
And seeks to devour
The conscience of those who will back it;

Its dissonant members work ever to please
Their doctrine and nonsense to laws and decrees,
For all that God prizes,
Its teaching despises
The innocence ravaged by falsehood’s disease;

So carefully listen, you trusters of men,
There’s no greater evil than he that would pen,
A teaching that revels
On doctrines of devils,
Admitting to truth now and then—

While those who were raised by their faith in religion,
And seek the approval by all their tradition,
Are always imperiled
By those that would herald
The lies that deny such perdition.

FRIENDS IN TRUTH

Speak not what’s couth my friend in truth,
For I can stand the pain,
And set it free, your love for me,
My heart will heal again,
For friends are few whose wounds are true,
Though some tell sweeter lies,
But those who care are truly rare,
And never compromise;
Speak not absurd and say no word
That poisons what you say,
And do not fear you risked a tear
To find a sweeter way,
For none can learn if truth they spurn,
And loyalty is torn,
For much is won by hearts undone
By such a brother born,
Who did not rest till I confessed
An honesty divine,
That raised me up to discipline
This vagrant heart of mine,
That though today, in its dismay
Drove us so far apart,
That I should fret and yet regret
Advice that broke my heart,
For words so spent on love that sent
Such kindness that was due,
Will make you ever so my friend
For saying what was true.

Don't you believe in its power....??? The one power I told you about last night, chatting with you online through my tablet* while passing the mike during the WT study when the paragraphs were being read.... :p

I confess, I happen to chat with Josh too during the meetings... ;)

Knowledge, knowledge.... what do we really know unless we really KNOW what love IS, MEANS and IMPLIES... (I'm glad because I had heart-to-heart discussions this weekend with 1/2 elders and other "influential" members of my congregation about the problem I broached in another thread and people are starting to wake up, as if they ever needed to when such ordeals are taking place in the congregations... How can we lazily keep waiting on the Holy Spirit to help people whereas it is through us that it works the most and the best !!!!????? That's what I said to an elder ! I didn't scathe him though because I know him, I love him, I respect him and because he loves his brothers and sisters and AT LEAST : HE TRIES AND DO IT, HE DOES TRY TO DO HIS "JOB" !!!! If at least they all just tried to do their "job" !!!!!!

The first time, not even listened to yet, but only heard on the radio that most beautiful song, about 15 years ago, I was in trance..... I ran to the nearest music shop I had nearby (thinking it was a new song) and asked the guy there who was singing that song and where I could find a CD of them (yes, CD singles just started to exist by then). I didn't understand everything that was said in the song or even the real title of the song because my command of English was way worse than it is now. The guy in the shop replied that this song was about 15-20 years old.... I was flabbergasted ! I had lived so many years without knowing and having ever heard such a beautiful song.... ?

Later, I made some research about the singers of this song and discovered that they were some kind of scandalous... So I'm leaving it now into your hands as to the appropriateness of my choice of posting it here tonight ! I see nothing shocking in this very song.

This weekend, I unbridled my tongue out of a deep love for a devastated friend of mine and a painfully wailing sheep of our Lord !

* I didn't dare take a photo of the hall during the meeting and send it to you.... :p

MY SIMPLE LOVE

My Simple Love

There is no gift or words to sift,
My simple love for you,
No need to mind these thoughts so blind,
As if my love was new;
For I’m not smart or rash of heart,
With clever words to say,
So bear with me and you will see
A better man one day;
And if I’m slow to change, you’ll know,
Because my words are few,
My simple heart will just impart,
This love I have for you.

THE LOWLY

Lowly are the ones I love
Within Jehovah’s throng,
Though they are just a tiny voice,
They praise Him with their song,
A song that many cannot bear
Because its words so few
Bring nourishment with bitterness,
An honesty that’s true,
So care for all these little trees
That bear not fruit so sweet,
They test our love with faithfulness
To make our hearts complete.

Feelings come and feelings go
But I’m so scared to let them show
For fear they are not real,
For just as winter turns to spring
And summer wings bring birds to sing
A song I cannot feel,
Within, I am, myself a man,
Who does not really know,
The melody inside of me,
That will not let me grow;
So if you see this mystery,
So deep in me, a treachery,
That many try and fail
To understand, these feet of sand
That cannot stand the reprimand
Upon a heart that’s frail,
Think not absurd I am a bird
That never learned to fly
Where dwells inside no chart to guide
This lonely piece of sky
Though there exists euphoric wisps
Around a cloud of moon’s eclipse
It is the bird of prey
Than hunts for me relentlessly
With pinions wide above a tree
Above the misty grey
It is the shadow of a hawk
That sends the strong ones from the flock
To lead their young away
Whereas the weak are left behind
For talons soaring sure to find
The one that does delay
So this is why I am alone
And I am soon to die
There is no place to call my own
On none can I rely.
