this story comes to us from apostolic times. one day a group of newly converted men were going home from Crete by boat when a fierce sea storm arose and a great wind began to blow the men toward the jagged rocks were a horrible flesh eating squid lived. the men began to pray oh lord save us from those rocks! stop the storm. they had all heard how Jesus had calmed the sea on another boat.yet the more they prayed the greater the rain fell and the more the wind whipped about! as the boat grew closer to the rocks and certain death the men began to cry out to God in despair oh lord why won't you save us please save us from those rocks stop the storm! as the prayed the heavens opened in a great torrential rain and a 40 foot wave came roaring toward the boat! the men begged on their knees crying oh lord why won't you save us from the rocks? and stop the storm! just then the great wave caught the boat and the men cried out in fear of imminent death! oh why Lord why? the lords voice came to them Relax you of little faith. I am saving you! I made the wave to safely lift you over the rocks and the sea monster.! and as the boat rode high on the crest of the wave all the way to shore the men felt quite foolish, but did not neglect to thank the Lord...
