Im so done with predictions, possibilities, and vague calculations. I'm simply just going to take Jesus word for it. "You don't know the day, nor the hour." Or "At the hour you think unlikely." If this ISN'T IT. It simply magnifies Jehovah's love and mercy and desire for all to repent. Magnifies him as THE GOD OF MERCY. Because as we all know....once the horror begins, nothing...nothing will be able to turn it back. It will run its full course for the purpose in which it was sent. With all do respect brother, there will be a night before, whether you live to see it or not... Nosh was told 120 years would pass before the flood would come, he was then told 7 days more would pass before the flood. Moses knew 40 years would pass in the wilderness before the entering of the promised land... Daniel discovered from the books that 70 years would pass in his captivity before freedom. Jesus knew the duration of his preaching, even telling his followers the duration to expect of his death... Daniel and the rest of Judaism knew when to expect Jesus. (Dan 9:24-27) And on and on and on, I can think of many many more incidences. In every occurrence of prophecy Jehovah made known ahead of time the duration to pass before the events they looked forward to would come to fruition, and in ever incident someone was waiting. Is this not the very definition of "prophecy"? This is a staple from our father and business as usual...
Isn't that different than knowing the 'start date' though? We know that there will be 1260 days for example ... but do we know the commencement date? I would suggest the same with your examples, save for the 120 years / 7 days before the flood. Perhaps the 'time and season' is all we will know ... and once it commences let the calculating begin.
Hey there, Joshuastone (Another cool name) Go ahead bro. knock yourself out. I know there will be those who will continue to calculate the nearness of the end and that's cool. But for me personally, my time is best spent on focusing on the time my family and I still HAVE. (according you, that may be only be less than 48 hours) So I'd rather use it building one another up so that way...perhaps I and others will be able to keep standing after those 4winds are released, If it be Jehovah's will, of course. Im not certain nor am I confident of my standing with with the King Of Kings who is coming faster than the wind..... on a chariot with flaming wheels...with a sward protruding out of his mouth....in all power and glory....with more angels than there are stars in the sky. No, Sir.....Im just not that confident to stand front row and center cheering this thing on. And when it do Come....and God knows that it will. Even after I've done all things to the best of my ability...My family and I will still be under a table cowering, If Jehovah allows us to live that long. If you're confident about your standing with the King of Kings and have a certain assurances that you're on the "Let Live List" then by all means keep calculating. Im not afforded such luxuries.

I think the society has cried ...WOLF....too many times and we are all a bit dubious of what we see. also at the last two conventions they have used the word ..IMMENIENT ..... Again many of us think...here we go again. I am presuming many will get a resserection if they die leading up to the final judging by Jesus? Different story once Jesus judges the sheep and goats I know. Hey Gabe, Calculations and chronology bore me stiff too. The pattern of the Jewish festivals is great and there are tons of others features in the OT that are very interesting and significant for nowadays and/or in the near future. I love reading up about such subjects. However, I intentionally let my calculator in a drawer and keep it locked. You are an example of faith and endurance for many of us here and everywhere. As the years went by, we all could witness this through your posts and the beautiful feelings of yours that keep showing through them. No doubt Jehovah must be seeing this too...
We're all sinners and all flesh and bones. We all make mistakes. That doesn't make us wicked people. We're humans, with that which it implies in terms of random behaviours and thinking patterns. Jehovah knows this and thankfully puts things in perspective. We're mere clay and He intends to knead us into beautiful vessels though. Who else is able to do that ?
