In the Bible idols are often told to be disgusting. And they were often that really. For example Moloch and goat shaped idols.
The idols that the Roman army carried a long were therefore viewed as very disgusting by the religiously fervent jews. And Jesus' dicsiples surely regarded those idols with disgust.

Today patriotic symbols, which are in fact idols should be regarded with the same disgust. In view of what patriotism and political fevor has caused. That is horrible wars and internal purges.

So we wait according to the prophecy in Daniel to which Jesus refered, that a such disgusting thing, a political idol, a symbol of political power will be forced on the holy place where christians worship.

Satan officially set up his standard (flag) in the Temple of God on January 28, 1992 when the Watchtower was officially recognized as a U.N. NGO. They agreed to advertise the positive aspects of the U.N. in their journals which were dedicated to the advertising of God's Kingdom and God's Kingdom alone. If any union of the two were to take place, it should have been the U.N. humbling themselves to the Temple of God and becoming Jehovah's Witnesses. That is the only acceptable union of the two. God's Kingdom tells the U.N. what to do, not the other way around.

It's all very clear in Revelation 2 where the angel or messenger of Thyatira (Fred Franz, during his Presidency of God's Congregation) was told this....

"“To the angel of the congregation in Thy·a·tiʹra+(Franz) write: These are the things that the Son of God says, the one who has eyes like a fiery flame+ and whose feet are like fine copper:+19 ‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and ministry and endurance, and that your deeds of late are more than those you did at first.20 “‘Nevertheless, I do hold this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezʹe·bel,(the democratic governing body)+ who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit sexual immorality (in a harlotous relationship wit the U.N.)*+ and to eat things sacrificed to idols (the Watchtower was feeding us this same propaganda that they offered up to the U.N. in exchange for additional preaching freedom aroung the earth)(idolatry).21 And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality.(was 10 years, now it is nearly 25 years since this sin and no repentance yet)*22 Look! I am about to throw her into a sickbed(spiritual sickness, which is evident) and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation (the U.N. and all opposer's of God), unless they repent of her deeds.23 And I will kill her children with deadly plague, so that all the congregations will know that I am the one who searches the innermost thoughts*and hearts, and I will give to you individually according to your deeds.+ Do you get that message, you all in the congragations

If this message in Revelation is not to Jehovah's Witnesses, who is it too? Listen to what the Spirit says in the congregations. It's not talking about the congregations of Babylon, is it?

Are you serious, you think that Revelation has no relevance for Christians today because it was originally sent to the "Asian" congregations? You can't be serious. How many times have you written how different parts of Revelation have to do with a modern application. You make it up as you go along Joshua. When you state something it is "Gospel", when any one else does it's "personal opinion with no scriptural application". If you can't see that Revelation was written to the worldwide congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses who represented God on Earth th or rough the different Presidents (Messengers or Angels as they were "born again" angels) the vast majority of the 20th Century then you are so asleep spiritually. Also, if you can't see that this comment to the angel of Thyatira isn't a clear message to Jehovah's Witnesses while under the leadership of Fred Franz (who was President during the whole application process to join the U.N. which clearly started well before January 28, 1992). I admit that Franz was very old and ready to die, but he was the President and would be the modern day messenger of Thyatira. Unless of courrse you think Jehovah was writing this letter to some other body on earth besides JW's. My question is who?

 

If my "personal interpretation is not valid or true, then what is your scripturally backed personal opinion as to who Revelation chapter two applies to in modern times? Are you saying no one? It's just a dead book or chapter? Is that you answer? If not, I'd like to hear your scripturally backed interpretation.
