basicaly I have a choice,kingdom caserol with chunks of mystery meat at my local kingdomhall, or smorgasboard of rich meats and pasteries at my local pentecostal church.or I can eat a plate of vegtables and lambchops taken from my own bible in solitude! its worse than being killed wakeing up and haveing a fat stinky demon say wake up your in hell! at least one thing is consistant about death, your dead! I must have spent enough money on bible publications at the hall to buy a small island! to learn the latest bible truth,onley to have those bible truths revised,reexplained,or as they say new light!
and I say horse patty! give me my money back! and let me retire in my local old phogeys home ,with an old geneva bible.I learned what I need to know at the kingdom hall jehovah is god worship him with your whole heart...jesus is gods son obey him like your life depends on it because it does! ask for gods spirit to understand his bible, praying is as important as breathing! evan more. and importantly when you go to the kingdomhall,any church,or temple, pretend that you agree whole heartedly with the elders and let them see you stuffing money into the box...than shall your life in church be hassel free..last of all beware of a group of old grumpy men that call themselfs your mother!

 

May I just ask you this Jig, if you had not been taught the truth by JW's, would you have learnt about Armageddon being Jehovah's war, Falseness of the immortality of the soul, hell fire, paradise earth, from your friendly pentecostal church?
And I have to say I have never spent more than fifty pounds one books in the thirty three years of knowing the truth, as it's always been donations. I'm sorry to see how your experience has made you feel, but remember Jehovah had to use someone to make his name known, and the people he often uses are far from perfect, remember even Jesus chose Judas to be one of his disciples, why would things be any different today?
It's not easy Jig, I remember when I first came into the truth, I heard a public talk which stuck in my mind to this day, and the brother said, "the hardest test that you will ever endure will be from within the congregation" at the time I didn't understand what he meant, but as the years went by his words proved to be so. Jesus said pick up your torture stake and follow him, if things are too easy then something is wrong we simply arnt in the truth. One more thing Jig, I know you love preaching, do you speak the bible truths to the Pentecostals you befriend and what about Christmas and easter celebrations doesn't this conflict with what you were taught.

In answer. the little united pentacostle(apostolic) church I like does not teach in great depth explainations of the scriptures.a great deal of the teaching is like this.repent, be baptised,read the word as written, pray frequntly, and get others interested in doing the same..holidays like xmas,easter,etc, are neither encouraged,or discouraged, no one prays with idols,or wears crosses,this church looks upon the cross like we see a casket.praise songs get song with order but at the same time with might. people pray for healing of their bodys and when they get healed which is pretty consistant they testify that god healed them, tounge speaking, is explained as the ability to learn a new known language for preaching.babbleing is discouraged.I would be the first person to rebuke a non biblical act or not return their.I have been to many recovery churchs and this one Is clean in their practices, if I saw a need to corect a teaching I would tell the preacher and he would allow it if its written in the bible.this church allows people to say this is what I beleive god wants me to do about this certain scripture..but no body is allowed to say anything but a direct quote is gods sure will..I like this manner, because it cuts out all the maybes and gets people down to earth with the real plan,know we are siners redeamed by jesus to do what is written in the word on a day to day basis praying to god in jesus name to do his will and onley his will today...I could not ask for a better plan for me...as to would I have learned about jehovah without jehovahs wittnesses. I will answer honest.I learned truthfull information from the jehovahs wittnesses around me and If I had not,then I would not have any desire to please jehovah.I would not care about the wolven within my gods house.I know that j.w are apointed by jehovah to preach and I wont apostacize against them I will say that for me the place is full of many bad memorys,I forgive the bad but I will have to feed myself with jehovahs word until jesus says otherwise..should a jehovahs wittness knock on my door I will offer refreshment and encourage them to go forth preaching! many people have received enough knowledge from them to know how to read and obey the bible and to pray to jehovah each day! to me the most precious thing jehovahs wittnesses taught me is how to talk with god and have him talk back to me.
shikinah I dont know about other peoples expeiriances but just today I prayed outloud lord jesus send me some work! I had not even had time to say in jesus name when a preacher rang my phone with a job I did the job and told him just prayed for work seconds before you called..shikinah I am totaly blown away by how blazeing fast jehovah answers my prayors and I would rather pray to jehovah for work than pound the pavement looking.I honestly get more work from jehovahs hands than I get by advertiseing! and I make it my bussiness to testify to this fact...Im no rightous goody goody but the bible tells me plain that jehovah is jirah the provider. Its true And I cant dispute it jehovah is more than good to me and the onley reason I can figure why he pours it on day by day.is that he wants me to tell people that asking and beleiveing in jehovah for even the smallest thing is the way..What can I say more? jehovah gives me 95% of my wants and %100 of my needs and to me that says keep on doing it and tell others..thats my doctorine! it more effective than any thats been preached in words...

Why do you think hardly any of the JW's prayers are answered when it comes to healing?
I am now partially paralysed with M.E and I pray all the time and I know others pray for me, I also know of others who have died from their illnesses. I won't deny that Jehovah gives me the will and determination to help myself, but there's nothing to really testify in the way that the pentecostals do.
So you are saying that the tongues that they speak in is a known language like Italian or spanish?

 

shikinah For some folks physical healing dosent happen and thats not due to your faithlessness its because jehovah has already found you faithfull and will care for you himself...and yes the way mr randy explains the gift of tounges is if you have it you will sometimes be given the ability to learn a known foreigh language very fast for the purpose of ministry to that group or you will recall a foreighn language that you heard spoken in childhood on the spur of the moment..I myself have out of the clear blue sky suddenly been able to speak sighn language,and sing in real jewish,and I simply thing that when jehovah wants to he can cause you to recall something you have seen or heard long ago. and shikinah I have been to many kingdomhalls and seldom see any miracles so to speak.. but they happen in force every single day in drug recovery churchs..I prayed to jehovah as to why and he inspired me to read luke 5/31 jesus said Rightous people arent the ones that need the doctor its the sick ones...jehovahs wittnesses dont get as many healings as pentacostle,apostolic,drug recovery,churchs becase jesus hangs out with sick people and siners to save them! if you want to get physically close to were jesus is hanging out do like me find a familey recovery church were drug addicts are in a program. I go to them still because after 20 years of it I am firmly convinced its far better for my spirit than the hall..yes those places have doctorinal errors,crosses on the wall,and beleive trinity sometimes. but it just would not be of any advantage to satan for him to have a preacher pray for a mans health and that man recovers and have that man testify the rest of his life jesus christ heald me! for that is what happened to me in a church camp called dunklin in okechobee florida..me being a baptised jehovahs wittness did not beleive in haveing men come up and say to me jesus wants you healed! and have a 15 year severe crack habit vanish and to this very day I dont think you could pay me enough money to smoke that garbage again. when I tell jehovahs wittnesses that older men laid their hand on my head for healing in jesus name and I was in fact healed,they look at me like I got healed by demonic means,and I say heck no I did not beleive in it as a jehovah wittness but I am a wittness to it! their was no mumble jumbo or idols, the men just prayed for jesus to heal me and laid their hand on my head or shoulder and walked away,leaveing me healed blessed wonderfull releif from a mad demon screaming for more dope! and it was like demonic possesision,drug addicts dont want to jab a needle full of poison plant sap in their arms and puke and itch for 2 hours but if they dont its like holding your breath you would do anything to get air. yes shikinah every person is chemically dependant and if you want to expeiriance the horrific feeling of adiction just hold your breath until your body forces you to breath thats exactly what an addict feels no matter how he fights to hold off the craveing the body makes you get up and do anything to get your next drug dose.and for me to suddenly have that vanish never to return says one word .Jesus.

 

I hear what you are saying Jig and I fully understand why you find comfort from your spiritual source, but from what I can see the Holy Spirit works perfectly well in spreading Jehovahs word to the ends of the earth all without the need of tongues. I've seen love displayed in years of pursuing a difficult language, without any gain of praise. And Jig I know the power of addiction, I use to smoke 20 cigs and a bottle of wine every day, and prayer helped me hit it on the head, now I can take a drink or leave it, I rather have it as a treat

 

dear shikinah, jehovahs wittnesses are a prime example of the gift of tounges no other people on this planet writes and speaks more languages! do you think that they got that way by themselfs? no! jehovah gave to many of them a gift to speak and write with differant tounges. james 5/14 supports a healing process not practiced at the hall,the bible says sighns will follow those that beleive. these sighns are ,all listed in the bible, they are the proof of if or if not yours or mine religeion holds any merrits. the scripture about handleing poison and snakes may refere to misionarys who go to wild lands for the sake of the gospel,and do not die from all the snakes,spiders,and scorpions,,I am not one of those cultists that beleive in delibrately picking up poison creatures to prove their faith! I know that some people beleive that outside of the mother watchtowers skirt their is no true worship of jehovah.I dont like offending anybody but that is simply not true. any person in any land can because of jesus christs sacrafice go before jehovah with no middle man or middle church,asking of jehovah for dailey direction and obeying his holy spirit..the veil is torn! jehovah will not turn you away and refere you to the preists,and elders if you come to him..remember and never forget that while their is a women organization, their is the father jehovah who is higher than the mother and he provided jesus so we can grow up into him who is our head...a man leaves his mother eventully but he carrys forth always his fathers name.thats what christians do.while we shall always honor and respect mom,we will not forever hold on to her hand! its onley natural to love your mother and want to stay with her forever when your a child,but the bible is clear we must grow up into christ and go forth! yes every boy or girl brings home their paycheek to mother for a while.but it was never christs desighn that this be your lifes work.visit your mother,your brothers, and sisters, grow up spirtully enough to get your own wife and make your own children! make the w.b.t.s a grandmother she always enjoyes childrens company..
