Eze 9:9 "He then called out in my ears with a loud voice, saying: “Summon those who will bring punishment on the city, each one with his weapon for destruction in his hand!” One day this chapter of Eze 9 will be fulfilled in the time of the end. Two very good questions are, who and when. Six men will go up to the house of God, each with their own weapon (or gifts) inspecting those within just as Jehovah has commanded, fulfilling his will in Eze 9. Eze 9:2 "I saw six men coming from the direction of the upper gate that faces north, each with his weapon for smashing in his hand; and there was one man among them clothed in linen, with a secretary’s inkhorn at his waist, and they came in and stood beside the copper altar." Among them one is depicted as a writer, and most likely one who writes of Jehovah's coming judgement on his house, but no doubt one with a commission from Jehovah. This one is also denoted as clothed in white linen showing his responsibility before God not unlike Joshua in Zechariah 3. Eze 9:3,4 "Then the glory of the God of Israel rose from where it had rested above the cherubs and moved to the threshold of the doorway of the house, and he began calling out to the man who was clothed in linen, at whose waist was the secretary’s inkhorn. Jehovah said to him: “Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done in the city.” This moment is directly after the hurling of denunciations as found in Dan 11:30 and the blasphemous statements by the small horn and wild beast of Dan and Rev. We know this must be before the constant feature is removed because Jehovah's house is depicted as still standing and some within are groaning from the content spewed from the mouth of the wild beast. While those groaning over the things occurring in this time receive the trumpets of Revelation, those who are not sighing receive the bowls of Revelation when these six men are told to act differently toward these ones. Eze 9:5,6 "And to the others he said in my hearing: “Go through the city after him and strike. Do not let your eye feel sorry, and do not feel any compassion. Old man, young man, virgin, little child, and women you should kill off completely. But do not go near to any man on whom there is the mark." And as mentioned, where are these ones commanded to begin? Eze 9:6 "You should start from my sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were in front of the house." Gods people in his organization in the time of the end are said to be within the "courtyard" and it is this that is trampled for the 1260 days as we read in Rev 11:1-3. The temple contains the holy place and it is not entered until 1290 days later. Eze 9:7 "Then he said to them: “Defile the house and fill the courtyards with the slain. Go!” So they went out and struck down people in the city." So who are these men in the time of the end? Do we know any personally?
Today (this time period = 2017), all the “news” brings to mind what it says in Daniel. “However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days.” ( Dan 2:28 NASB ) The Aramaic words translated here as latter days is 'achariyth (akh-ar-eeth') = latter, and yowm (yome) days, or period of time. The use of days usually refers to a twenty-four hour period when the word is modified by a definite or cardinal number. In this case, there is no cardinal number associated. This refers to a period of time. “And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile. Just as you saw iron mixed with soft clay, they will be mixed with the people; but they will not stick together, one to the other, just as iron does not mix with clay.” (Dan 2:42-43 NWT) As most here know, the two feet have a total of ten toes. The feet represent the stability of the great statue seen in the vision of Nebuchadnezzar. In the latter days, there will be unrest throughout the entire earth, as shown in the first dream. Then, there are those who equate the kings mentioned in Dan 7:7, 20, 24 with Rev 12:3, 13:1, 17:3, 17:7 Unknown to many Christians, a 10-nation military alliance appeared in Europe in 1995, called the Western European Union (or the Brussels Treaty Powers). These 10 nations are members of both NATO and the European Union. What bound them together was a mutual defense obligation under Article Five of the modified Brussels Treaty, which meant that an attack against one would be an attack against all. The 10 nations that made up the alliance were: Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom. But, as it says in Dan 7:24, “. . .another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings.” When was this vision fulfilled, or was it, or is it for a future time? Whether these prophesies are being fulfilled today, we will not know until possibly many years later. We have to look at the evidence of the history. Example: During the generation of Jesus the Messiah/Christ, many of those living at that time did not recognize the fulfillment of the prophesies from the earlier prophets. It wasn’t until the twelve disciples recognized Jesus as the Messiah/Christ. Only a few of them wrote about the fulfillment of the prophesies of Christ. Of that entire generation, how many recognized what was occurring? Not many! So, today how many are aware?
