Le plus beau jour de ma vie The most beautiful day of my life
C'est avec toi, ici That's, here, with you
Naître un matin et mourir le soir Being born one morning and dying at night

Mon seul pays, mon seul amour My only country, my only love
Et rien d'autre ne compte And nothing else matters
Un seul ami, un seul amour et plus rien autour One friend only, one love only and nothing else around

Tout est si beau Everything is so beautiful
Tout est si simple Everything is so simple
C'est le plus beau jour de ma vie ! That's the most beautiful day of my life !

Tout est si pur Everything is so pure
Mais rien ne dure But nothing lasts forever
C'est le plus beau jour de ma vie That's the most beautiful day of my life !

C'est avec toi ici ! That's here with you !

Loger sans payer Living together without paying
Ne plus t'inquiéter No worrying you anymore
Puisqu'on a plus d'affaires Since we have nothing left
On a plus à s'en faire We have nothing left to fret about

Et quand le soir approche And when the evening comes
Je ne regrette rien I don't regret anything
Ni mon amie, ni mon amour, ni les autres jours Nor my friend, nor my love, nor the other days

Tout est si beau Everything is so beautiful
Tout est si simple Everything is so simple
C'est le plus beau jour de ma vie That's the most beautiful day of my life !

Tout est si pur Everything is so pure
Mais rien ne dure But nothing lasts forever
C'est le plus beau jour de ma vie ! That's the most beautiful day of my life !

C'est avec toi ici ! That's here with you !

    Ici ! Here !

C'est avec toi ici ! That's here with you !

    Ici ! Here !

C'est avec toi ici ! That's here with you !

    This song is so deep....

    Prasanna vadanaaM saubhaagyadaaM bhaagyadaaM
    HastaabhyaaM abhayapradaaM maNigaNair-
    Naanaavidhair-bhuushhitaaM

(Who is of smiling face, bestower of all fortunes,
Whose hands are ready to rescue anyone from fear,
Who is adorned by various ornaments with precious stones)

    Puer natus est nobis,
    Et filius datus est nobis
    Cujus emperium super humerum

(For to us a child is born,
To us a son is given:
And the government will be upon his shoulder)

    Some day you came
And I knew you were the one
You were the rain, you were the sun
But I needed both, cause I needed you
    You were the one
I was dreaming of all my life
When it is dark you are my light
    But don't forget
    Who's always our guide
It is the child in us

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"My little children, with whom I am again in childbirth pains until Christ is formed in YOU." - Gal. 4:19

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    On Children - Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
Which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
But seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
As living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
And He bends you with His might
That His arrows may go swift and far.
    Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
So He loves also the bow that is stable.

Utuna, I absolutely love this song. The video is especially lovely. What marvelous Father we have. A master designer. If those watching didn't recognize that the little baby "ducks" jumping out of the nest high in the tree!! They are water fowl, not normal "tree nesting birds". In another case, to answer Ari, All things on the earth have DNA. Only Jehovah and His Son know the proper coding of each one. Polar bears are not much different from Grizzley bears. It's just a small difference in the DNA code.:D

Here is the story of this song and Gene Autry. Autry was an established “Country-Western Music” artist, along with being a singing cowboy movie hero, in the late 1940’s-early 1950’s. When asked to record the song “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, he balked. His wife, Ina May Spivey, convinced him to use it on his single Christmas record. It was originally intended to be the “B” side, but was marketed on the “A” side. His wife must have had a good feeling about the public, as it became his best selling song.

For those who don’t know: Reindeer are actually Northern Caribou. There is a certain breed where the male has a reddish nose which can be seen in foggy conditions. The male’s antlers can grow to 5 feet above the head. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reindeer

    Hey Wallflower,
A few family members and friends were wondering how Santa and his reindeer deliver presents in Australia, seeing that it’s summer time. One youngster said “Santa better not land on our roof because he will damage our solar panels that were just installed.”
So . . . .this song asks the question. Do you remember this one?

After reading some of the new posts, I became a bit nostalgic.
The former times, when the whole world wasn't at war. The neighborhood kids
could play in the streets until dark, without being afraid of being kidnapped or shot.

Peter, Paul and Mary - Where Have All The Flowers Gone ?

Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago?
Where have all the young girls gone? Gone for husbands everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the husbands gone, long time passing?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time ago?
Where have all the husbands gone?
    Gone for soldiers everyone
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
    Gone to graveyards, everyone.

Where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
    Gone to flowers, everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?

    Bread - He’s A Good Lad

    He’s A Good Lad

    He’s a good lad
A little bit shy so you’ll try and have to understand
    Such a good lad
And just for a while the guy’ll need a helping hand
His word are hard to follow, but his heart has found a way
to show you the things that he never could say

    He’s a good lad
A little bit wild but his style is really gentle and kind
    He ain’t so bad
Right to the end he’s a friend about the best you can find
As you come to know him, and his needs are comin’ through
You’ll flash on the day I was talkin’ to you

And he needs somebody to love
Yes, he needs somebody to be worthy of
    He’s a good lad
    He’s a good lad

And if you come to want him, like I know he wants you to
You’ll see all the things I was sayin’ are true
    tellin’ the truth

‘cause he needs somebody to love
Yes, he needs somebody to be worthy of
    He’s a good lad

Maybe he’s wild but his style is really gentle and kind
    (He’s a good lad)
You need a friend, he is about the best you can find
    (He ain’t so bad)

Little bit shy, so you’ll try and have to understand him
(He’s a good lad, good lad)
Just for a while the guy’ll need a helping hand
(He’s a good lad, good lad)
Maybe he’s wild but his style is really gentle and kind...

    Hi Tsaphah

Yes, I do remember Spandau Ballet.

As it's summer here in Australia, Santa and the reindeer have to land very carefully. Have to make sure they don't knock out any skylight windows or "whirlybirds" (roof ventilator.) Will look for a picture of one to show you. Also have to watch out for the solar panels, too.

Yes, I agree ! I have been thinking a lot about it lately, about the pertinence and the beauty of the songs he posts each time, especially when I posted for my part the video "The child in us". These are just videos of modern music but Tsaphah, just like you noticed that ducks falling down from trees were a very good noticeable detail, I noticed the little polar bear climbing awkwardly the snow-covered slope, looking for on wobbling legs a way to go higher and his parent watching over him from a distance, grumbling and catching up with them and bringing them back to safer heights with his mouth. I think that we're all likewise in life, no matter how old we are, we are groping around in life on slippery ground and Jesus is here behind us watching over us through multiple ways to bring us back under protective arms/wings. Just like the vegetation every new year and all kinds of life forms, we are born, we grow up and are raised but we are mere dust and life is like a wheel continually turning around; what was before being what makes what's now, which will make what's to come and on and on. The journey of everyone's life is a lifetime lesson to learn day in day out and after it all, nothing remains but a mere breath (Ps 39:5). What really remains though is our anchor to Life despite the tempestuous life we all have to go through, that is the love and care Jehovah and Jesus have for us, who have looked after us during our lifetime and even beyond...

In the Israel of Old, the gift of poetry was considered as a God-given gift. As a matter of fact, a great part of the OT was written in the form of poetry and more precisely in the form of songs, like the Psalms. As I said above, even though modern music may seem and sound far from following God's original standards in that regard, I do believe that many songs were composed, written and sung with deeper meanings than many think and may carry a certain kernel of truth that is certain to ravish some listeners who are sensitive to the message conveyed therein like this one about Jesus :

or this one about temptations and marital love....

Natasha St Pierre - Un ange frappe à ma porte

Cleaning the stars with the alcohol of my soul
Someone taking the place of someone else.

An angel is knocking at my door, should I let him in ?
It's not always my fault if things are broken
The Devil is knocking at my door, he wants to speak to me
There's always in me the other one, seduced by danger.

J’me noie dans un verre d’eau, j’me sens mal dans ma peau, I make a mountain out of a molehill, I don't feel good about myself
I laugh, I hide the truth behind a mask, the sun will never rise.

An angel is knocking at my door, should I let him in ?
It's not always my fault if things are broken
The Devil is knocking at my door, he wants to speak to me
There's always in me the other one, seduced by danger.

Je n’suis pas si forte que ça. I'm not such a strong person !

Et la nuit je ne dors pas. And I don't sleep at night.
Tous ces rêves...! ça ne m’aide pas... All those dreams.... ! They don't help...

A child is knocking at my door and lets the light in
He's got my eyes and my heart and hell is behind him...!
An angel is knocking at my door, should I let him in ?
It's not always my fault if things are spoiled
It's not always my fault if things are broken
It's not always my fault if things are spoiled

    No? What à bad News!
All the famous people that accompanied me during more than 50 years are dying. We finished the year with Johnny and begin the new one with France Gall. It is hard to get old.
I never knew my grand-parents except my grandma, so I never experienced the feeling of losing a dear one. My grandma died when I was 35. She was 75 and I thought she was very old, so I was not so sad. Now I think that she was young. My father is 74 and I cannot think that he could die in a near future.
