    Why Crime Increases
    (Ecclesiastes 8:11)

The observant, wise, King Solomon said, “That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.†(Ecclesiastes 1:9 - New American Standard Bible) This is still relevant today, because they[SUP](*)[/SUP] want to pay to have a study done to explain why the crime rate has risen. All they[SUP](*)[/SUP] have to do is read the Bible. Solomon also wrote the following. I have included several English version translations. They all, pretty much, say the same thing.

“When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.†(New International Version)

“Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.†(English Standard Version)

“When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. (New Living Translation)

“The condemnation for wicked acts isn’t carried out quickly; that’s why people dare to do evil.†(Common English Bible)

“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.†(King James Version)

“For because sentence is not speedily pronounced against the evil, the children of men commit evils without any fear.†(Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition)

“because the punishment decreed for an evil act is not promptly carried out; therefore people who plan to do evil are strengthened in their intentions.†(Complete Jewish Bible)

“When the penalty for a crime is not carried out quickly, then people start scheming to commit their own crimes.†(The Voice)

We[SUP](**)[/SUP] are not surprised that justice is delayed. Again, it is stated in the writings of Solomon. “If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still.†(Ecc. 5:8 NIV) And, the old saying holds true, “Follow the money!†If we continue reading Ecclesiastes 5:9-16, it explains the reasons why this whole monetary system is corrupt.

“The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields. Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them? The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep. I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners, or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when they have children there is nothing left for them to inherit. Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands. This too is a grievous evil: As everyone comes, so they depart, and what do they gain, since they toil for the wind?â€

[SUP](*) [/SUP]They, are the political parties with constituents at universities in need of public funds, to pay their exorbitant salaries. This is for studies which arrive at no conclusion to implement effective results. The studies are done by psychologists who will look at everything except the real answer which is plainly stated above. According to some bible scholars, it was written more than 3,000 years ago, between the years 1,015 and 975 B.C.[SUP] (***) [/SUP]

[SUP](**) [/SUP] Those who truly believe in the teachings of the Bible as the word of God.

Thanks for posting, Tsaphah. I spend a lot of time thinking about people's behaviour.

quite honestly crime continues to increase because their is no fear of god, or the law..their are rapeists murderer, theifs and child abusers,, but if the united states made it clear that the penalty for these acts was that you would be trained to be better killers, rapeists theifs, and molesters and shipped to war against enemy powers .instead of jail you would see a huge drop in crime! no criminal wants to work to stay alive from enemys at war and this method would save millions keeping them at our expense in jails.

Does crime increase, or does it just remain with us?
I think it's like a sine wave, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less.

As one type of crime drops so it seems another type increases.
