    Hi Frank,

Personally, I don't re-download it. I just wait for Firefox to be updated but it's really tiresome. When Firefox 36 was released, I couldn't use it more than 10 minutes before it crashed. I'm the kind of guy who has at least 15-20 tabs open at the same time, listening to music (or stuff I'm a buff of) on Youtube, looking up dictionaries, using Photobucket, using Google drive, having tons of softwares working in the background, watching US series on streaming and on, and on, and on (with 8 Go of RAM memory, I can afford it... :p). And yet... guess what makes Firefox crash ALWAYS !!!!???? That thing is a "virus" ! That can't be otherwise !

yes I agree with you about what you mean by talking to god that's why I explained my idea of it to Jan. wallflower and utunu have shown me to watch what I say.

so I try to be more concise now a days!

hey you Evan got to be carefully how you call jesus god or somebody will think he is jehovah in the flesh!

I still say that jehovah dosent talk to the governing body vocally anymore than he talks to anyone else.

Thank you for the kind words. My brain has to warm up first before the cogs start moving freely, so I can start thinking.

I know plenty of similar cases. I'm a history buff, especially Mesopotamia, the Middle Ages and WWII. I've read Eugene Sledge's book, one of the main characters in The Pacific, HBO. In his book, he says that he heard one day a loud voice saying clearly and distinctly "you will survive the war" (interesting pdf file about soldiers' faith during WWII).

I can also mention Bernadette Soubirous, the girl who supposedly saw 18 times the "virgin Mary" (Marian apparitions) and who is at the origin of the place of pilgrimage Lourdes. You may also know about "Our Lady of Fátima".

If people affirm doggedly that they have supposedly seen the "virgin Mary" and succeed in making others believe it, I'm not surprised that some others claim to supposedly chew the fat with God or Jesus. Whether the demons or mere mental illnesses are at work, there is one thing which I'm sure of, it wasn't God or Jesus and even less Mary...

I was out in service about two months ago and I ran into a 55 yo woman who works as a psychotherapist. She told me that she was someplace one day with friends of hers who are shrinks too for a one week stay of transcendental meditation. At about the half of the stay, she all of a sudden felt something invading her and feeling a burst of energy all over her; she said that she could feel and reach the cosmos, bla bla bla and had attained limits of consciousness and knowing that she had never felt or even imagined before. Since then, she has talked about it to others and above all on her Facebook page and now, people get in touch with her from all over the world for answers to their questions. She said many times that she didn't want to be a guru but the people are so lost and desperate that she feels compelled to answer them.

That's why I repeat and will always repeat that to receive Holy Spirit isn't just having a mystical experience, seeing the light, wanting to be a martyr, etc. The fruitage of the spirit must show and a certain consciousness of what Christ's body is and of what to be anointed really means is important.

Personally, I'm open-minded whenever I hear someone talking about "seeing the light" or "being anointed" but I also use my wits.... because holy spirit doesn't work against the paramount characteristics of its action in one's life, which the Bible records quite precisely.

Where have you studied that gave you those ideas Gabriel?

Mat 4:24 God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.â€￾

Mat 4:10 Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovaha your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.

Seems pretty clear...hope you Can you get your brain around it?

    have a great day:D

  13. Hi Cristo:

Quoting scriptures that Jesus said about Jehovah before he gave his life as a ransom for mankind is not justification for who he became after such an act, further when he was resurrected to heaven, you know his position changed.

For example, to which one of the angels did God ever say: “You are my son; today I have become your fatherâ€?+ And again: “I will become his father, and he will become my sonâ€?+ 6 But when he again brings his Firstborn+ into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all of God’s angels do obeisance to him.â€* Hebrews 1

Keep this mental attitude in you tha
t was also in Christ Jesus,+ 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form,+ gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.+ 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form+ and became human.*+ 8 More than that, when he came as a man,* he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death,+ yes, death on a torture stake.*+ 9 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position+ and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,+ 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground+— 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord+ to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2 Who do we bend out knee to, it is of course God.

By his death on the cross/stake Jesus position in the family of God changed drastically. Philippians says that Jesus was not trying to be equal to God, and he is not, he is still the Son. But he has been "elevated" to a position that is superior to all the rest of God's creation and he is truly the ONLY member of that family thus far. He has been given his Father's name, which makes him a true Son of God, the only one thus far. Trees beget trees, Dog's beget dogs, and God begets God's. Jesus is now a God to be worshipped.

The only reason that you are not able to admit this is the Trinity. Because Jehovah's Witnesses try to stay as far away from wrong teachings of Christendom so hard, they are missing one of the most wonderful truths in the Bible. That Jesus did what no other creation of God has done so far. He has made it to the pinnacle of a Son of God. He is God. Not God Almighty, and not on the same level as God.

Beloved ones, let us continue loving one another,+ because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and knows God.+ 8 Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.+ 9 By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begotten Son+ into the world so that we might gain life through him.+ 10 The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice*+ for our sins. 1 John 4

What did Jesus say about the Love that he himself showed by laying down his life for us? Was'nt it something like....

No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life* in behalf of his friends

So, if you cannot have "greater" love than what Jesus showed then you are Love at that point, and when that occurs you are God, because God is Love. If God is Love then by the law of equivalencies Love is God. Well, Jesus became Love when he laid down his life for mankind, and he became God at the same point, not by my words, but by his own and his Father's.

In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!†29 Jesus said to him: “Because you have seen me, have you believed? Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.†[That I am both Lord and God] My words.

Just a short time before, Jesus rebuked a man for calling him good, but after his death and resurrection Jesus viewpoint was clearly changed. He did not rebuke Thomas, who had clearly been inspired to say what he did by Holy Spirit just as Peter was when Peter proclaimed that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God at the beginning of Jesus Ministry.

Jesus knew that he had fulfilled the task that was his test to become a part of God's true family, the family of God's. The Holy Spirit knew too, and expressed as much through doubting Thomas. Jesus did not rebuke him because what was inspired by Holy Spirit was absolutely true. Jesus was his Lord and his God.

Again, in your desire to stay as far away from the Trinity as possible, you are missing one of the greatest truth's in the Bible. That Jesus is a part of the family of God proper, he is the only one so far and is worthy of worship. Jesus is NOT part of a Trinity, but he is God.

Here is a more complete article on this subject....

Jan , we already speak to him directly ...for all else

    John 5
39 You search the Scriptures because you think that
in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear
    witness about me
, 40 yet you refuse to come to me
    that you may have life.

    Acts 7
59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out,
“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.â€￾ 60 And falling to his
knees he cried out with a loud voice,
“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.â€￾
And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

John 5:23 that all may honor the Son just
    as they honor the Father
    . Whoever does
not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who
    sent him.

the matter is simple ..as simple enough for children
who continue to argue whether they should submit
to Jesus as the same as to the Father ...Yes the
teachings of the JW's make it "hard to bend the
knee" to your appointed Master and Lord ..

John 5 pretty much sums up Jesus position

18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the
more to kill him, because not only was he breaking
the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father,
    making himself equal with God.

    this isn't a requirement by Jesus , it's a requirement/commanded
by the Father , Jesus own attitude was was succinctly stated
in Philippians 2 of which mind we ourselves are to maintain .

and again that's pretty much all I have to contribute

except this , if you do not believe that the Father and
Jesus can communicate with you , you will never have
it happen.... except as in the case of Baalam...and Paul

Just a quick question I was wondering if you could answer for me, and it's a "what if" question.

What if Thomas was looking directly at Jesus when he said "My Lord" and then when he says "and my God" how do you know he wasn't at that point looking up to the heavens?

I will point out that translations capitalize the word "Lord", which points to this individual being the almighty, besides that, and with that said, how do you know Thomas was looking at Jesus and directing his comments to him at all? Could he not have directly been speaking to Jehovah?

What I am asking is, why do you assume that Thomas's words were all directed solely to Jesus, couldn't he just as easily have been speaking to Jehovah?

  17. Hi Joshua:

I know that you are intelligent to know that Thomas was speaking directly to Jesus when he said those words. He was not talking to Jehovah, but he clearly was speaking my inspiration of Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit thought that it needed to inspire Thomas to make it absolutely clear to all who Thomas was speaking to, he would have made that clear. But the Holy Spirit was confident that you could get that from the context.

Before this episode, Jesus had just appeared to all the other apostles except Thomas, and when hearing of the encounter Thomas said, "Unless I see in his hands the print* of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side,+ I will never believe it." John 20:25

So, when Jesus appeared to Thomas as well some days later what did Thomas do? Next he said to Thomas: “Put your finger here, and see my hands, and take your hand and stick it into my side, and stop doubting* but believe.â€￾ 28 In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!â€￾ 29 Jesus said to him: “Because you have seen me, have you believed? Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.â€￾ John 20:27-29

Now it doesn't actually say that Thomas stuck his hand in his side and touched the holes in his hands, but the context certainly does imply it very strongly. Now, he's at least looking at the holes and he turns to Jesus and says "My Lord and My God" and you really have to ask, "who is he talking to". Get real Joshua, even you can't stretch things that far and beside that, what is wrong with Jesus being God. The scriptures prophesied that he would be a Mighty God. Well, he is and you and I should rejoice for that fact and praise him and his heavenly Father alike.

The real question Joshua is why do you "assume" otherwise, because it doesn't fit your template? Change your template then!

I'm doing what I do, asking all the "what ifs" without which you will never understand or find the right answers. Some others can chime in on this subject with their impressions, but I will say that when he recognized Jesus had actually been resurrected he would have instantly thought of his creator as well don't you think? Would Jehovah not even have come to mind when all of a sudden he had been given proof of his existence? You have Thomas here almost worshiping Jesus, I'm not so sure that was the intent.

I believe it's clear you can not say 100% that Thomas was only talking to Jesus, and didn't have Jehovah in mind. You are assuming he was speaking only to Jesus, in the same way I am assuming that it's possible he could have been speaking to Jehovah as well, so therefore that incidence can not be used to base an entire theory on.

Yes I know Jesus is spoken of as Mighty God, but the question is, when was he to receive that title? I asked before, and so I'll ask you, do you think this title is meant to be now, or as Ish 9:6 reads, "Will be called" meaning future?

When is Jesus enthroned as King? And will knees bend before him before that?

  20. Hi Joshua:

You can "what if" all you want, you know Thomas was speaking to Jesus and Jesus alone, but you can hold on to that what if if you want to, by all means do. It is 100% clear to me who Thomas was speaking to. The book of Isaiah was written 690 to 700 years before Immanuel was born and well over 700 years when Jesus was crucified/impaled. I'd say that that was a "future" fulfillment of Jesus becoming a Mighty God, don't you? But, tell me Joshua, what is wrong with Jesus being a Mighty God?
